OK, so a 40% increase followed by an 11% decrease after taxes kick in. That really isn't too bad. So you would have 30% more people smoking weed and paying taxes. I think this would be far superior to having to pay for the arrest, prosecution, and subsequent detention and probation/parole of pot smokers.

That's only one million pounds. You realize now that whenever law enforcement makes a "big bust" of a thousand pounds, pfft, drop in the bucket big deal.
