Good article, good points all, but does it bother anyone else when even anti-Drug War activists say things like "Prop 19 is not about the right to get high"? Why don't we have the right to get high? I want badly for someone to present me with compelling evidence, moral or physiological, that getting high is in any way wrong or bad for you.

I don't read it as we don't have the right to get high, but that Prop 19 is going to grant that right as well as improve public safety, raise money, etc.

I smoked pot for many years. The drug didn't do bad things for me.

After a raid, and the following interrogation and conviction, (the raid turned up nothing, all I was guilty of was smoking the stuff and I had a break when they came) things were not good. Job wise, family wise and other things.

Good that the cops are seeing that the ban is bad. The drug is pretty harmless unless you smoke too much, and even then it's not gonna spiral you into addiction, violence and other nasty things.

It's good to know that some cops aren't so brainwashed that they can see what's going on in front of their faces. I applaud these cops, it must be a tough stance to take as a LEO.

When we regulate marijuana, it will be harder for kids to obtain.

I have to say, I don't think that's true.

Surveys constantly show that kids say it is easier to get cannabis than alcohol.
