If the weather is nice, the water tower at Volunteer park is great.

You can always stop by the Volunteer Park Conservatory as well. Plants!

Be sure to check the hours if you do. They are a little weird.

Get some coffee at Cafe Vita then walk through Cal Anderson. Or if you're looking for drinks, go to Sun Liquor on Summit Ave. Quiet, nice atmosphere, perfect for a date.

Bowling at the garage. Not for food though. Just for beer and bowling. All the other recommendations can supplement this path.

You can also hit up some local art galleries. One time I took a date for salsa dancing at Century Ballroom, then we hit up Molly Moon's ice cream downstairs. We took our ice cream to the streets and admired some art whilst enjoying frozen goodies. Good times.

Skip Molly Moon's and go to Old School Frozen Custard or Bluebird instead.

Ohhh... Blue Bird looks cool. Thank you for your ice cream knowledge.

Poco Wine Room is a nice - fairly sophisticated but not too stuffy - place for a date.

I love Poco. It can get crowded, but it's a cute place for a date.

You could grab some ice cream at Molly Moon's. I'm addicted to their scout mint flavor.

If you want some privacy.. there's a trail behind St. Marks that's fun to explore.. nice views of the lake during sunset too. It's kind of fun because very few people in Seattle know about it and it's normally empty. http://www.seattle.gov/parks/park_detail.asp?ID=2848

The Bellevue, Bellevue, and Bellevue park is a bit more common.. but another kind of fun one, down by I-5.

If it's raining and you're both nerdy, another weird hole in the wall is the Metrix create space. You could see if they're doing anything interesting that night. http://metrixcreatespace.com/calendar

Of course the water tower is a great choice if they've never been.. but if you're from here, it's a little boring honestly. I've been up there hundreds of times myself, and I wouldn't go out of my way to see it at this point.

Elliott Bay bookstore, for sure. And depending on the time, you might catch some dodgeball or bike polo in Cal Anderson.

Do a few key bumps in the bathroom at Neighbors and then go tag over the mural of Slats.

Tidbit is a fantastic little Italian/Spanish place with a lot of sweet drinks (limoncello, and a whole bunch of other flavours) and good food. Highly recommended.

EDIT: Or not. :(

There's nothing to do around there. You'll have to take your date to Magnolia.
