Bought the grinder well after the MFLB. My logic was that where the MFLB extracted more value from my ganja the grinder made a previously possible task just easier.

But I love my grinder now and would never go back.

Only if I absolutely have to. From my understanding, touching weed leeches THC, it removes the crystals and what not. It's even worse if you have sweaty hands like I do. Plus you just can't get as fine of a grind and it's time consuming.

So wait...if that's true, then given the extra surface area and rapid agitation that a grinder causes, wouldn't that mean a shit ton of the THC crystals are being dislodged and stuck inside the crevices of the grinder, and ultimately less THC crystals going into your bowl?

Yes but in the long run this is an investment, as several grinders have kief catchers which garner these crystals, called kief, and after a while leave you with a large amount of super potent crystal mix to smoke.

I've got two grinders, a two piece, and a 4 piece with a catcher. I still find myself using an Aleve bottle with a nickel in it just because it busts so fine if it's dry. Perfect for vaping :)

One day my friend came over with his vape and we had some sticky buds. He wanted to grind it up but forgot his grinder at home.

So he just starts chopping the bud up on the cutting board. Ever since then that's my only grinding method. I'd say it's the most economical grinding method, plus you feel like a damn gourmet chef while you do it.

I wasn't planning on trying it any time soon, but out of curiosity could you use a pestle and mortar to grind herb, or would it become too powdery?
