Definitely not true. He has said many times that he will go to any war that Congress declares.

If Iran believes there's at least some threat to be attacked they're going to behave themselves better.

Iran has had the threat of Israel attacking them for years now, and adding an American threat would not make a significant impact on how they run their domestic and foreign policies.

Are you implying that the 9/11 attacks were simply a small country trying to make a statement against the international community or increase it's own standing? What country was this? It's quite a simple concept actually. Terrorist attacks occur because of our intervention in the region. Meddling in the affairs of other countries creates an unintended blowback that cannot be predicted.

The notion that we need to "throw a little might around" to remain the top world power is simply not true. As long as we have the capabilities of a top nation (both military-wise and domestically), we will remain at the top.

This is once again not true at all. There is a vast difference between being an isolationist and a non-interventionist. Ron Paul advocates trade and dialogue between countries which is the exact opposite of an isolationist agenda. The only thing he does not advocate is alliances which create unnecessary military conflicts for us as well as going into the domestic affairs of other countries which creates blowback and other problems for us in the long run. This is the policy a successful US needs.
