I have solid works, but I'm unfamiliar with PNA. I'm planning on using Stainless Steel for the material.

What about number of blades and blade length?

Thanks for the help.

What if I'm building the prop myself, and it will mount directly under the raft, approximately 3/4 of the length from the bow, and on the centerline. What would the best propeller design be?

Wow, thanks for the detailed response. I'll try to answer your questions.

I am fabricating the prop myself. I have a full welding and machine shop at my disposal, and carbon / stainless materials.

It's a one day race, but there will be two or three heats.

As far as steerage, I just need to keep it straight. Nothing fancy, it's a straight shot of a race.

We haven't decided on a rudder mechanism yet, so that's open to ideas.

May is National BBQ Month. For that slow cooked BBQ flavor, marinate with Ardbeg for a smoki-licious taste your friends will rave about!

Yeah. I'll get right on that. At a minimum of over $50 per bottle, it's not exactly marinade material.

I want that Laddie glass.

Have you opened the Caol Ila yet? I was somewhat disappointed with it, but I'm a peat lover, so I don't know why expected otherwise.

Found this bottle of Lagavulin 30 yo on eBay, one of you might have the money. by dag96in Scotch

I don't think I'd ever spend this much on scotch, but I'd certainly want to give it a sip. Especially a Lagavulin.

Community reviews! You can write your own, and then see how it compares to everyone else's. There's a lot less pressure that way, too.

Into scotch and reddit so much that you have a reddit glencairn, but not so much that you'd submit a review? For SHAME!

Seriously though, happy cake day.

I saw your post on /r/scotch of the Quarter Cask. That's a bold choice for your first, but it will definitely tell me more about what I should send you if we swap. Anyway, happy birthday, and hit me back if it's a go. If not, I still owe you a birthday present as promised.

Why does showering with hot water feels so good, even though being outside in hot temperatures is uncomfortable? by swishsweetfishin askscience

[–]BigPapiC-Dog 6 points7 points ago

The specific heat capacity of air changes greatly with changes in humidity. So, the answer to your question is yes, if a machine uses air as the medium of heat transfer, the higher the humidity, the more effective the air is at heat transfer.

Evaporative coolers function terribly in humid climates. That's why you see "swamp coolers" out west but not I'm the southeast (of the United States).

It is! Your couple freebies for turning 21 still stand, but I mentioned this in case you wanted to trade and get a much broader selection!
