Man screw y'all. I'm in a public library balling my eyes out right now. I'm pretty sure everyone in this building is wondering what the hell is wrong with me.

"My friends, you bow to no one" and Good Will Hunting, the "It's not your fault" scene.

Definitely met a fellow named cricket, but there's a few of those out there in the world.

As far as the homebase thing. Not so much. I think when I first started I'd come back to michigan every so often, chilll out for a bit, but then i just started not showing up as much.

Happy rails.

I graduated from a small town here in MI.

When I was in College I took some art classes, some Poli. sci., some philosophy, a writing class, and one called "death, dying, and bereavement".

Thought about going back when I turn 24 because the US government sees you as an independent then and thus, will give me a LOT(basically pay me) to go to school.

and what do you mean by current path? Like what are my plans? Honestly I have a hard time thinking in the long term, so all I have planned out right now is to do odd jobs till this summer and then move somewhere else. Michigan, while I love it, is too damn cold and dark for me.

Nope, I finished. And not the GED thing either, I got the full deploma thing(someone told me there's a difference). Went to College too for a semester before deciding that for now it's not for me.

haha, you know when I wrote that, I was thinking, "Really I could get to any city that would be mentioned". But Europe, that's a whole different animal.

Well I've been pretty intentional about not explaining the how-tos and stuff. There's several reasons for this. One of the most prominent is reasons is that if I give you half-assed directions then you go out and get yourself killed or caught, then the train companies will up security to make sure people can't ride. And that's all around bad.

If your interested, find someone in your own town that'll teach you.

As far as knowing where you're going it's pretty much simple logic. If your in southern IL and theres a train headed for the north, it's going to Chicago, etc.

All one really needs is a good sleeping bag, layered clothing(avoid the big winter coat idea), a good pack, and good foot wear. everything else is expendable. I like music so thus the ipod. I also carry an ocarina, to play to make money.

I'm pretty dorky, and at one point I had a wand that I got from alivans.com

Actually The new england states are all pretty unexploded by me. I've been through upstate NY once a while ago, but haven't done much else. Yet...

Some friends just moved to Vermont so I might make my way out to those parts. 43 of the 50 states, covered though, just got to get those.

that and Alaska and Hawaii too.

A little. More of the old timers are really into it. That woman I mentioned in other posts, Ruth, She's really into it(she's just a year older than me).

Mostly all I can ever remember is the three Xs in a circle one and the really obvious ones about dogs and cops.

I actually just answered this:

And yes i write. Usually I don't write too much on my travels. It's a decision I made early on that I don't want legions of people to live vicariously through my experiences, but to be inspired to make their own lives fun and interesting. thus no travel logs. Just feelings, theories, and thoughts.

No Camera though. Been thinking about finding some spare cash and getting that new and fancy ipod Touch though, so I can take pics and stuff. I'd Probably donate my oldie to another traveler or anyone I meet who doesn't have one.
