Agreed with everything you said here. I was stating exactly what you said: that you could achieve further compression but at the cost of speed. In essence, there isn't one size fits all case.

Are you overweight? You need to cut. Less calories than maintenance. Add some lifting too. Gains will be minimal but will help the appearance after you have burned the fat.

Are you under/at weight you like? You need to bulk (100-200) over maintenance and then cut.

Edit: Guys often think if they ever have fat on their chests, it's automatically gynecomastia when it really isn't. If this is very recent, it probably isn't. Get it checked out by a doctor if you are unsure.

I think this game shows that the Thunder are a fantastic defensive team but the Lakers can truly be one of the best. They just aren't playing like it. Really depressing.

Very interesting but not my thing at all. The principal theme doesn't grab me at all and therefore, the structure falls. Also, the beginning is quite odd. The phrasing also makes the piece seem like a 19th century folk song.

While I do agree there is a limit on how good storage and compression get. For instance, Blizzard has some of the best compression formats around. I would assume Rockstar is not far behind them and still cap about at 35 gb for their latest game. Also, if I were to use a format like 7z for asset compression, that's about as small as it gets and even if you got smaller, there would be huge sacrifices in access time.

Sorry everyone is downvoting you. And as you know, modern compilers will optimize the hell out of code. But that example provided does produce a larger source.

Unoptimized code? You have no idea what you're talking about. Code compiles to produce a binary which is very small. Even the binaries for huge AAA games are anywhere from 2-10 megabytes. The visual/audio art assets are what take up all the space. Max Payne 3 is likely just a huge detailed game.
