A hook is a repeating run of notes that capture the listener attention...for instance take John Mayer's version of I Don't Need No Doctor. The hook of that particular song is that riff you hear in the beginning.

Songs with words will have a hook in the form of a phrase like, Who let the dogs out, like a virgin, Back in Black, and so on...it is the "thing" that ties the whole tune together.

What is going on with the mix? I am hearing one loud guitar in the mix, and then another one faint playing something different. The mix is not working, I can't get a feel for the song.

What I can hear is well done playing wise. You have some chops, but it feels like a meandering jam, and there is nothing wrong with that at all but it is not exactly memorable. Also it has a happy jazzy feel to it too, and while you are obviously playing some blues licks there, it is upbeat sounding to me. One last thing, there is no "hook" to make it memorable, and that is something you will need to have to advance in the Battle.

Structure is what you are lacking, and while it can be done any number of ways, try this as a song structure...

Hook into verse

Hook into verse

chorus

Small lead run

hook to ending verse

Ending

As an example, the song you have now, I would go through it and find my favorite run. From there I would take that run and try out different note combinations and speeds to find something interesting I can make into a hook, then build it from there.

Pre-paid prices

I pay 60 per month. I get unlimited everything. The first 2GB of data are at 4g speeds, after that the data is dropped to 2g speeds and I still get unlimited data. It used to say this in the plan description, but they have removed it and moved it to the disclaimer - "Some plans include specified data speeds. Where indicated, full speeds available up to data allotment; after data allotment used, speeds slowed up to 2G speeds..."

While I have only been over my 2gb limit twice, I was never denied access to the data stream, just dropped to slower speeds.

It's not for everyone, but it is one of the best values around from a major carrier.

It is unlimited. After the first 2gb at 4g, they drop you to 2g speed. As far as I know there is no cap on data at 2g speeds. 2g is slow though, I have only been there 2 times and I have to surf the web without the pictures to get decent render times. I guess I would liken it to a 56k modem connection..remember the good old days?

Well they are pretty good, but do yourself a favor. Do not play any of the higher end semi's, you will want one of them instead. All in all that is a solid rig there...make sure you get the dudes to do your set up before you leave.

There are no issues. I ported my old AT&T contract number to T-Mobile prepaid back in 2008. You will have to speak with customer service.

I have been a T-Moble Pre-paid paln for the last 3 years. I currently pay 60 a month for Unlimited everything. I get 4g speeds for the first 2 gb, and then 2g after, but I have only been there once. You can pay 70 and get 5gb of 4g data if you need it.

The service has been reliable, and I have used a number of unlocked Androids on the account with NO problems. I have not found one single company that can come close to these prices. The other thing os that I can switch phones when a new one come out that is compatible too.
