The ninja alliance wasn't complete at that point (I think just before chapter 500), Naruto had not met B yet. Kisame didn't die until after that point, so it's plausible that his task was to capture B, then Tobi and the Zetsu army goes after Naruto. Underline or highlight every word you don't know. See what you can gather through context and what you can't. Then once you're sick of reading or you're lost in the story, go look the words up. It's important to stick with it and keep reading even if a few words slip under your radar; try and get the overarching message first before you look for nuances. It's also important to stick to your level, don't try and read Nietzsche or Goethe if you are still at the beginner level.

DCMurphy on Where are you?

Narragansett, RI here. The best thing I ever did with reddit is get off the main forums into little niche ones. Subs with 1.2 million subscribers (like /r/pics) are much more likely to have reposts than smaller communities. If you're looking for a new media hub, I'd recommend Del.icio.us. And I'm sure you have Stumble. Reddit isn't the be-all, end-all, you know. But be prepared for reposts on that too. And if you watch TV, you'll see the same commercials. And reruns. This community didn't exist when I was a beginner, and I'm glad it didn't.

We all got to where we are by putting in some hard work memorizing verb forms, endings tables for the accusative, dative, and genitive cases, and the gender of each and every noun we wrote down. It took a while to understand some things like separable prefix verbs, prepositional phrases, and Konjunktiv II.

As a contributor of this subreddit, I want to remind every one of you that you will not be helping students by simply handing them answers to questions that are far beyond their reach. Language is learned in little steps, and it doesn't help students to have the first step given to them without their understanding of the subject matter.

Students: I encourage you to try and push your understanding of the German language to the next level. Try and use a pronoun or preposition you don't quite understand. Try to turn a verb into a noun. Take a guess as to the ending of the adjective, and if you have a specific question, like this one, we'll be there to help. But please don't ask us to do your work for you. It hurts your academic performance, and you really won't learn anything.

Alles Gute zum Abschluss des Semesters,

DCM

submitted by DCMurphy to LANL_German
[link] [10 comments]
