I dunno, I really can't think of another novel that better portrayed the alienation inevitably generated by materialistic proclivities. I enjoyed it immensely as a teenager and again every time I read it as an adult.

The Ledger put together an excellent rundown of precisely what crimes were committed by Ravi and the sentences he received for each. None of the 15 had any direct connection with Tyler Clementi's death, although there were many allegations made in the court of public opinion on that one. But the fact remains that Ravi did indeed commit a series of crimes here. I have seen people sentenced to far stiffer sentences for far less in cases that received little or no publicity.

Ok, here we go!

...was a little disappointed by the Twilight. Thought it was a little one-dimensional, a little unbalanced for a summer ale. Have had many better in the same style.

...was totally enthralled by the Mirror Pond. A truly stellar pale ale, with an absolutely top-notch malty finish. Something you could just quaff for days on end.

...was expecting something different out of the Inversion, but still enjoyed it. Definitely not a hop bomb like many other West Coast IPAs; it's a lot darker but a little lighter on the hoppiness. Interesting and worth another taste or two.
