Seen that. The lady's that I saw said "memo," however.

I've been looking for a more chatty reddit experience, but this sounds like something that would work really well with an IRC chat room.

I know nothing about setting that kind of thing up, though, sorry.

Anything interesting a lady does with her hair, including removing it, is fine by me.

What is your career and are you happy with it? by oregonblazer420in intj

Call center.

Which was only really "holy shit please murder me" for about 3 months before it became boring.

My boss even says I've managed to not sound like a robot any more, ha ha ha.

Dell Fail: Misogynistic moderator asks women in audience what they're doing here, and tells men to go home and say "shut up, bitch" to women. by Astraea_Min technology

I used to get so outraged at idiots like this, not too long in the past this would've passed by without any media mention . We have a long, long way to go, but realizing there's a problem is a great start.

I'm kind of new to this, how should I get started? by JacksonHannanin minimalism

[–]DelicateStranger 1 point2 points ago

For every category of thing you own, ask yourself the follow questions:

  1. Do I absolutely need this? Does this object make me happy? If no to both, why do you own it? Sell it, give it away, recycle it, trash it in order of preference.
  2. How would I feel if I got rid of this object? Better or worse? Keep or discard accordingly.
  3. Is there another object with which I could replace it, that I would like better, that would better fit my life or give me more pleasure? Then upgrade. Quality items are cheaper in the long run for a variety of monetary and aesthetic reasons.

If you don't wear it, and are unlikely to wear it again, why keep it? Donate it.

My goal is to have about 7 work outfits and 7 casual outfits that I can rotate through and mix/match. That gives me a little bit of a buffer if a week goes to hell and laundry doesn't happen, and lets me not wear the same article more than once a week.

That ethos can be combined into all facets of your life. What do you really need to have to accomplish what you want? Why keep extra stuff if you don't need it?

Being around less stuff saves cleaning and dusting time, it's visually calmer, and there's all-around less to worry about.

How did you decide to do what you do? by arethnaarin intj

[–]DelicateStranger 2 points3 points ago

I have this too. I have to have the information presented to me in a way that makes sense to me or my brain just nopes right out of paying attention.

I have to either learn something backwards, forwards, up and down or just brute force memorize it. Things that only sort of make sense don't stick at all.

Throwaway time: what is the one illegal, immoral, criminal, or disgusting thing you've always wanted to do or try? by AmericanDerpin AskReddit

[–]DelicateStranger 1 point2 points ago

It comes with my sincere recommendation. I don't even do it any more, I'm too tightly wound to inject even the smallest risk of getting caught into my life (and I don't live in a medical state), but man oh man is it fun.

I took a flexsteel couch off of a curb when I was in college (ah, move out day). The fabric was some gross green but even after who-knows-how-many years of college parties it was a nice, soft bouncy couch.

I am sticking w/ Dropbox only because I'm terrified some algorithm will rock through, declare I'm in violation of some term of service, and I'll have all my Google services locked forever with no recourse.

What's foam rolling and why do I need it? by brandonmayin Fitness

[–]DelicateStranger 6 points7 points ago

buy a four-inch (so, 10 cm in moon units) wide plastic plumbing-type pipe at the hardware store, and cover it with enough grip tape (or thin foam insulation, if you want padding) to allow it to roll instead of slide.

Cheap and easy, and unlike foam rollers, it will last indefinitely.

Burnout - How It Happened To Me by geonin programming

[–]DelicateStranger 0 points1 point ago

Hell no it doesn't get harder. Even if you work the same number of hours (DON'T), the number of tasks you switch between are far fewer. Plus, excepting traveling gigs, you're commuting only twice a day (if you commute physically at all). Walking around campus easily kills one hour of the day.

I'd go on but I'm on my phone.

My first set of dice! I'm a 26 year old mother of two, and am now on my first d&d campaign with my friends. It's addicting as hell. Any superstitious gamers out there have advice for my dice? by boredomishnessin rpg

[–]DelicateStranger 4 points5 points ago

I need that link to laugh at people who need dice like that. Also, what do you want to bet that the owner or some manufacturing person, late at night, just poked a die? Just to do it.
