Are there any non-religious arguments against banning same-sex marriage? by PepSupChOthin AskReddit

Do you REALLY think this would be a problem in a society as large as, say, the United States? There's a LOT of women here to go around.

If you had to give a ballpark estimate of how much weed Snoop smokes in a day, what would it be?

Why are people still cool with Chris Brown? by scottmichaellandauin Music

[–]DrHooray 1 point2 points ago

It's all about whether the guy produces good music or not, apparently.

Isn't it, though?

Hell, I actually find Gucci Mane's music MORE appealing because of the fact that he acts like a sociopathic 8-year-old.

Hey, quit using that tired "LOL NO FACTS ON REDDIT" reply.

Seriously. Every thread has at least one Redditor who thinks it's not only funny and original, but somehow makes them a champion of reason.

Chris (Rob Lowe) from Parks and Recreation. He just screams "forced quirkiness". He doesn't seem like a real person

Is there such thing as a preventative step to be taken against this? It seems like practically anyone could be accused of it at any time. Is there any way for a person to reduce the likelihood of this happening to them?

Caterpillar mimics snake. (very rare) by [deleted]in pics

[–]DrHooray 2 points3 points ago

But how do the ones that look like snakes get that way in the first place? It seems extraordinarily unlikely that a mutation as useful as that would evolve by pure chance. And of course I realize that it didn't get to look that stunningly similar all in one generation, that it happened over the course of thousands and thousands of generations, etc. But I just don't understand how a large enough group of individuals can have the genetic material necessary for that one specific mutation, and on top of that, mate with enough individuals with the same material, to produce a version of the species that does this.

How in the world does something like this evolve? Generally, evolution makes sense to me, but how does something this specifically tailored evolve through mutation and natural selection?

Romney's wealth makes him one of the 3,140 wealthiest people in the country — that's the richest 0.001 percent of Americans. So, he's not just the candidate of the 1 percent, but the candidate of the 0.001 percent. by wang-bangerin politics

OK, so adultery is a terrible thing, I think most people agree on that. But how does your distaste for President Clinton's actions as a husband translate to your loss of respect for him as a leader?

What is your current favorite album? by SassyShortsin Music

This is one of the first albums I was really into when I started smoking weed in high school, and the good memories from those days will always be strongly associated with this awesome, awesome album.

Also, their live album Kicking Television has absolutely killer versions of a lot of these songs.

There was a threesome between my best friend, his girlfriend, and the girl I brought to new years. How bad was your new years? by Another_by_Ginin AskReddit

[–]DrHooray -2 points-1 points ago

The night before, I had to tell one of my best friends that I had sex with the girl he had been dating a couple weeks ago. He punched me in the face and I did absolutely nothing because I knew I deserved it.

On NYE itself, I had to work a ridiculously busy shift until about 1 in the morning, then couldn't get into the club my friends were at because tickets were sold out. I went home and started drinking before realizing that I knew one of the DJs who was playing at the club and he probably could have gotten me in, but I had a few beers in me and had seen three people getting pulled over just on the way from the club to my house.

So I ended up getting drunk with my roommate and watching Ratatouille, a movie I had never seen, and although it wasn't terrible, it certainly isn't among my favorite Pixar movies. I went to sleep and then woke up hung over, despite only having had 5 or 6 beers.
