In the "Just as huge a time waster", it's hard to come to terms with the fact that one circle of radius r, when split into four circles of radius r/2, has the same area. Especially when you break them all down and have an entire screen of little circles.

I was part the only asian family living in a mostly hispanic community. The only interaction I had with other asians were people in my extended family - uncles, aunts, cousins, etc. So I believed that all asian people shared the same last name.

But don't you think that if your essays were personal and specific enough, that they wouldn't really be plagiarize-able? I just think it would be helpful to get opinions from people who don't know you, in the same way that application readers don't know you. They could insert comments like "I don't really understand this example" or "this doesn't actually demonstrate your capacity as a leader." People who know you well are less likely to give blunt remarks, so that's the benefit of an anonymous review.
