If you kill for no reason you are not hunting. You are just killing animals... or poaching (although poachers do it for money, the scumbags). Either way, I grew up hunting and was always taught that the most important thing is to be respectful of the environment and the animals. This means humane kills, using/ consuming all of the parts, or giving/selling them to someone who will, ensuring that the area is cleared for hunting, and that it is the right season, don't kill babies, etc... etc... Most of the hunters I know are avid environmentalists. But yeah, I agree with you.
