It does. Normally with a cabinet you would screw through the actual cabinet to affix the cleats to each other. You could easily cap the top piece to avoid it jumping during a quake(I live in Southern California). If at that point it jumps off, a store bought mount would fail as well.

My friend busted a Dreamcast out of the closet when I was house sitting for him. Sometimes you really just can't go back. Controls were shit. Plus the phone book that had to hold the lid closed. It was all more hassle than it was worth.
