I've seen something like this before. It was a series of short films made by people with disabilities, and the one I saw was made by a women who had a hearing condition (I forgot what one, sorry). Anyway, her film had vivid images which would have loud sounds (like a Dog barking in her face) but instead there's a horrible buzzing playing throughout. It was very effective and I felt it really got her message across.
