On what was basically a safari in Kenya, sometimes I would get out of the tent in the middle of the night having to pee. Of course I'd have my headlamp with me when I went out so that I could find the most suitable bush, but there was an unexpected effect.

When I looked around the area as I peed... All I saw were eyes. It literally looked like this picture but without being able to see the rest of the animals bodies. They were all staring at me intently, and there was no way for me to even know what kind of animals they were. It was one of those times you just had to relax and trust that you were safe because if you weren't, well, there wasn't a whole lot you could do about that. Instead of being afraid all you can think at that moment is "Heh... that's awesome."
