Nope, i'm fine.I'll let them all brag til next year.

although i consider drogba a great player as much as the next guy, i can't stop wondering, what other impression he would leave, had robben successfully taken the penalty? (worth ribery's injury if you ask me) by maliquein soccer

[–]KlausJanVanWolfhaus 1 point2 points ago

i don't think it would've changed anything and i don't think he would've left until CHelse had that champions league trophy.

He definitely ate all the pies. No wonder Crouchy was looking extra skinny each match.

Did Inter get the same crap from the media 2 years ago that Chelsea are getting now? by funk_master_khanin soccer

[–]KlausJanVanWolfhaus 0 points1 point ago

haha no problem mate. I slightly disagree here though in that,it is good defensive work. Barca kept on missing no matter what they did. Their problem? they couldn't shoot from far away and mostly almost tried to walk the ball into the goal. Bayern knocked and knocked only to be answered once because of a foolish defensive mishap by ashley cole to leave his man wide open to guard Gomez. Someone forgot about their priorities. Gomez had a turn shot but reached for it, fell backwards and skied it why? because a defender closing him down put him off. If you look at inter's defense, it was probably one of the most settled defenses in footy back then. The only reason Chelsea didn't really attack, as i believe, was because of a selection mistake by Di Matteo. He opted for Kalou where you had Malouda available. He can dribble the ball and his strong enough to fight off Schweini and Tymo. Kalou on the other hand can't dribble and isn't that tactically aware. Drogba is a type of striker who you play one twos with and just needs someone like Malouda and you saw most of his through balls were in vain as Mata was bullied off the ball by the Bayern defense and Kalou went to sleep once he passed the ball. Put Drogba and Lukaku, two physical players and surely, Chelsea would've had their chances as well offensively.

TL;DR? is it bad offense if the keeper saved most of the shots?

Yes dramatic it was. I think attractive football is nice but it only gets you so far as you saw with Barca. Defense is probably one of the most vital positions in football alongside the centre-midfield. A good defense can stop anyone from scoring and then on the attacking end all you need is a header ,which defenders must be good at, and get yourself a goal.

'Nobody can be happy with the outcome of the Champions League final' - Johann Cruyff by michaelt123in soccer

[–]KlausJanVanWolfhaus -1 points0 points ago

I said THEY (cruijff and the others complaining) are the ones"beyond belief" and you are probs just bitter as they are bitter. Not much needs to be said to show how bitter someone is. Thats how i "fucking" deduced it. And you don't wanna mess with my deductive skills, 1-0=1 wot.lol

It detracts because you're one of the bitter ones i'm talking about. I know when SAF is bitter but this is bitter beyond belief. Chelsea did nothing wrong they did everything right. You lot are mad at them because their defensive tactics worked for them.....

People are just bitter that Chelsea won it expecting Bayern to do so. They didn't do anything against the rules. Defending is as much part of this game as attacking. They defended and attacked. Congrats Chelsea you've won it just ignore the rest and enjoy your win. For Bayern fans sorry that you lost this year but there's always next year. Both teams were missing key players.

I said these people are much more bitter than SAF. He lost to his rival congratulated them and then took a shot at them the next day. You say no whilst these people are blasting Chelsea because they didn't play the type of football they wanted them to play and at the same time they didn't even think to give them props for defending well and coming back. Defense is also part of football so don't forget that. You don't like Chelsea's type of football, too bad its their tactic and it works very well for them. No one blasts Barca for possession football. This was good defensive work. It came down to penalties and they missed. It may not be attractive but its effective.

Yes, I dislike Chelsea very much, but I critise them because of how they played.

I remember when you said this. Clearly you're as bitter as Cruijff and the Bavarians. You also sound like an Arsenal fan who's mad Chelsea won the UCL.

i haven't seen people as bitter as Platini and people today. You're mad at Chelsea because they played defensive football and won. Next time finish your shot.
