Pressure Vessel Engineering Position in NJ - Relo assistance by HSNJin engineering

What qualifications are you looking for? I have time for an internship this summer, but I don't have a degree yet. I am a biomedical engineering major, mechanical specialization.

Twitter has a limit as to how many tweets can be tweeted daily. My guess is that the original account got too busy, so they needed to create an overflow account.

A new novelty account called POSTS_IN_BABYTALK has emerged, posting the most nonsensical shit known to man; blatantly trying to whore out his own 'brand', a subreddit called /r/PIBTBrand and drowning in downvotes by Clbullin worstof

[–]LesterRoyale 16 points17 points ago

I'm pretty sure this guy is just vying for attention in any way possible. He's going over the top on purpose, to piss people off and become "Reddit famous". And it's working.

The original post by @XBoxSupport1 was deleted, but the retweets remain. So, it was a real post. However, @XBoxSupport1 replied to one of the retweets by saying "Hey there, sorry for the confusion, we actually do not have an official release date at all. That info may not be accurate." So, make of it what you will.

Source.

edit: Found a different reply by @XBoxSupport1 to a retweet: "The release date hasn't yet been announced. Our previous tweet was mistaken and working from some unofficial info." Unofficial info, huh?

The normal Xbox Support Twitter is @XboxSupport. This one (@XboxSupport1) is labeled as "Official Microsoft @XboxSupport Overflow account". It's a real account.

Just watched 12 Angry Men (1957) for the second time. No explosions, no car chases, just 90 mins of truly captivating acting and dialogue in one room by MrPrestigein movies

[–]LesterRoyale 75 points76 points ago

There's also a small scene in the courtroom at the very beginning, and an epilogue outside of the courthouse.

[–]LesterRoyale 9 points10 points ago

What? Who says movies have to be realistic to be good? I'm not gonna take sides on whether 12 Angry Men is realistic or not, but don't bash a movie for a reason that's not even a factor in whether it's good or not.

If a movie captivates you in any emotional direction, I'll say that it's good. If 12 Angry Men fails to do that for you, then you can say it's a bad movie. Don't just call it bad for random arbitrary reasons.

No one can truly be "free" in a civilized society, we're simply licensed to do or not do certain things. See this.

That scene is actually part of a flashback. They opened the hatch at the end of the first season, but you didn't see Desmond's perspective until the end of the second.

Are there any colleges that offer for-credit online engineering courses out there? by LesterRoyalein engineering

[–]LesterRoyale[S] 0 points1 point ago

The problem is that I've already taken most of my liberal learning requirements, so I'm left with the advanced engineering, math, and chemistry courses. A college near me does offer Thermo I and Calculus C as evening classes, so those are certainly options for next summer should I get an internship. It's really up to what those colleges end up offering, however. That's why I'd like to see about online courses.

'Soccer' vs Football. So TRUE by Cowboy_Bebopin videos

[–]LesterRoyale 1 point2 points ago

Well, I didn't really bother thinking about it too much because I think it would end up being a really subjective and pointless debate. That comment wasn't even the focus of the point I was making.

[–]LesterRoyale 5 points6 points ago

While I might not say the most "strategy-heavy", I'd certainly say that it's not a sport a non-watcher can turn on and just start enjoying. With soccer, you can do that because it's relatively simple compared to (American) football. Once you understand all the intricacies of the rules in American football, the game becomes a million times more fun to watch. I'm pretty sure that all of the Brits bashing it don't understand the extreme amount of strategy that goes into the playmaking. Even if there isn't a large amount of time that is spent playing, the rest of the "filler" is intense because of all the scheming and potential plays that could happen. It's certainly more conversation-inducing in that right, as well.

[–]LesterRoyale 1 point2 points ago

If you can't get used to people using different terms for different things on the internet, just get out. It's called soccer in America and you really just have to get used to that. The league is called MLS, not MLF.

Now that Max Payne 3 is released, when should we see more GTA V info from Rockstar? by MooseNoodlesin GrandTheftAutoV

[–]LesterRoyale 4 points5 points ago

...How is that strong evidence that the trailer will come out on the 24th? Maybe if there was a slash between the 24 and 05, maybe. But I could look at the license plate and say "February second!" or "September 25!" just as easily. I think you're just thinking wishfully at this point. In no way is that evidence of a trailer release on a specific date.

This has probably been asked before, but how do they count years in the ASOIAF universe? by LesterRoyalein asoiaf

[–]LesterRoyale[S] 0 points1 point ago

Well, it has never even been established if the world of ASOIAF is on a planet or some kind of other plane or something. Of course I know that a year is the amount of time it takes for one revolution around the sun, but I was just never clear on how they figured that out in Westoros when there's no clear indication of a year's length. I haven't seen any references to the moon in the books, either. I thought it was kind of clear that the world of ASOIAF doesn't actually orbit a sun, because of the sporadic seasons. The regular revolution of our planet creates yearly seasons, which is an easy way of timing years. That's why I thought of that first.

Also, is that why I'm getting downvoted? Because people are reading my question as "What the hell is a year?"

TIL that cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, and Brussels sprouts all come from the same species of plant; all have been differentiated by humans through selective breeding by LesterRoyalein todayilearned

[–]LesterRoyale[S] 0 points1 point ago

There's a subspecies level. The level of species, though, is very important because a species is the level at which successful reproduction of fertile offspring first occurs. Subspecies are for populations of organisms that are different from other populations enough to warrant being classified differently, but are still the same species.
