Great words even more relevant now than when they were originally spoken. by ebonhand1in conspiracy

FOR THE LOVE OF FUCK

Read the whole speech. This was about communism and the USSR. This gets posted every couple days as if JFK is calling out the illuminati based on two phrases: "secret societies" and "ruthless conspiracy". The former referring to what American's oppose and the later r.ferring to international communism. Please, stop being morons and READ THE ENTIRE SPEECH,

I don't know how many times I've posted this point, but nobody wants to acknowledge this.

Dennis Kucinich, Ron Paul and 8 Others File Suit Against Obama For Launching Libya Strikes - “With regard to the war in Libya, we believe that the law was violated. We have asked the courts to move to protect the American people from the results of these illegal policies,” Kucinich said. by galt1776in politics

There seems to be a lot more anti-war republicans now that we've been at war for 10 years and are fighting in 6 or more theatres.

Can any of you tell me just what the Libertarian political philosophy is? by subtonixin politics

I disagree. I think when you commit violence against other people you isolate yourself, whether your an individual or a nation.

Can any of you tell me just what the Libertarian political philosophy is? by subtonixin politics

[–]Lyrebird 1 point2 points ago

Libertarians think all coercion is immoral, and that you have no right to aggress against anyone. Additionally, you cannot grant politicians the right to commit coercion against anyone (foreign or domestic), because you yourself don't already have that right. This includes physical violence, theft, wealth redistribution, etc.

Most people understand the non-agression principle as it applies to you and your fellow citizens. What really blows peoples minds is that we reject the right of the State to commit violence.

Other Bill Maher quotes on RP:

  • "If America was smarter, wouldn't you be president?"

List of compliments Bill Maher gave Ron Paul in this interview:

  • "Not a panderer"
  • "Sincere"
  • "Got the right ideas about getting our troops home"
  • "I like Ron Paul"
  • "Cut from a different cloth than the rest of [the GOP candidates] who are selling their souls to corporate interests." (Implying he is not bought by special interests).

Perhaps not a glowing recommendation, but kind words nonetheless.

US Republican presidential candidates held a debate last night and they sent a pretty clear message to secular progressives: do not, under any circumstances, vote for us. by cosin politics

Atheists won't vote for religious people cause they think they're logically inept. Theists won't vote for non-religious people because they think they're morally deficient. Both are incorrect.

It certainly seemed that way. New Hampshire is a very liberty-minded state, and the home of the Free State Project. RP has a lot of friends there.

Is there any good reason why Ralph Nader is a *bad* candidate for president? by ThisOpenFistin politics

[–]Lyrebird 0 points1 point ago

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

He's got the right idea (corporate control of government), but I don't like his preferred method of solving issues (added rules/regulatory agencies). I'm sure Nader has heard of regulatory capture before, so I really don't understand why he continues to support big government.

Just another Ron Paul reminder: He does not give a fuck about your rights. He wants the states to govern them. If a state were to ban abortion and make Jesus their National Bird, "President" Ron Paul would not give a fuck! by RON-PAUL-SUCKSin politics

I think if you don't want to be thought of as a troll, you should change your username to something not related to Ron Paul, since you only post in RP/Libertarian threads.

If not a troll, what are you? A member of CCARP (Concerned Citizens Against Ron Paul)?

You heard it hear everyone. If you want to make government smaller and less intrusive, you are a hypocrite for using the mechanism society has put in place to do so.

Ron Paul on troops in Afganistan: "I would bring them home as quickly as possible, I would get them out of Iraq as well, I wouldn't start a war in Libya I would quit bombing Yemen and I would quit bombing Pakistan... I would start taking care of people here at home..." by AAjaxin politics

He's not an objectivist. He wants to end the wars and use the saved money to tide over those dependent on welfare programs while they get reformed/phased out.

What is Ron Paul's stance on oil and alternative fuel? by Jenu1in politics

[–]Lyrebird 1 point2 points ago

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

  • Stop invading countries and killing people to acquire foreign energy reserves.
  • Remove barriers to domestic energy production.
  • Remove all subsides/corporate welfare to all energy producers.
  • Allow market forces to determine most efficient means for producing energy, when oil prices rise (supply drops, speculators, etc), there is a market incentive to develop new energy (including renewable).

Some believe in sovereignty, others believe in international government. It's just a political tactic to call people who care more about sovereignty "isolationist".
