Because I have been conditioned to read Hex when I see 0x. So to me it says 16^C

Aye, but it is 0x10^C not simply 0x10. So you need to include the to the C in there somewhere :D

No it isn't. 0x is just telling the reader that it is hexadecimal they are reading. Pronouncing it is like saying "English Minecraft" because it is in English.

Edit: If it hadn't already been named (the number in question) as a Trillek then it would be pronounced sixteen- to - the- see, as 10 in base 16 (hexadecimal) is sixteen and not ten.

People say Celsius is logical. It is more logical than Fahrenheit as it is relative to a molecule that is very common on the planet, but why call something Zero that isn't actually Zero? Also, it is only relative to that molecule at certain pressures so it doesn't even always have to boil at 100*C. It is like measuring the length of a car and saying that where the driver sits is 0 and everything else behind them is negative...
