Yea it can get crowded pretty quick, and it's a tad steep if i recall correctly. I'm still happy to have tickets regardless.

Don't be bummed, at least we got tickets. Plus you can always try for the regular sale and then sell your lawns later (at face or less mind you).

I met CK5 at superball. My phriends and I had a spot right in front of the soundboard all three nights and after the end of the second night i got his attention and said "you're awesome". He came down to the guardrail and we chatted briefly. At the end of our conversation I asked him if he would sign my shirt and he said yes. I panicked when I realized I didn't have a sharpie (acid), but he pulled one out and signed it, saying "we're roadies, we have these things".

It was awesome.

I've personally never been a huge fan of Dave Matthews Band and I don't REALLY consider them part of the Jamband scene. Does anybody else feel the same way? If not, what am I missing here? by Phandango92in jambands

[–]Phandango92[S] -1 points0 points ago

Thats a fair criticism, And I apologize for the choice words. I assumed you were referring to:

"Good music. There really is a lot of experimentation going on in what they're doing, but it's not always obvious to non-musicians. They're really more tight than your average jam band, so a lot of people miss how much improvisation is happening when they play."

as a whole.

Nonetheless I feel that your judgement about my status as a musician and my ability to analyze music, based on an inability to recognize the intricacies of one band is both unfair, and, at least in some way, rooted in your on affinity for said band. Accordingly I was, and still am, insulted by your claim that I am not a musician.

Are you honestly suggesting that "Not everyone who can play an instrument is a musician, by the way." was not meant to be diminutive.

How would you feel if wrote "there is really a lot of experimentation going on in what X band/group is doing, but it's not always obvious to non-musicians. If you can't see that, than you are not a musician. Not everyone who can play an instrument is a musician by the way."

Camp Bisco: Did anyone else have a bad trip? by MrSpinnin festivals

[–]Phandango92 0 points1 point ago

I think a change of venue is a better option personally. Indian lookout is not ideal for festivals, especially when it rains.

I'm willing to bet what they loose in sales they may try to make up for with increased ticket prices, justified by the presence of (overrated in my humble opinion) dubstep acts.

I sincerely hope they don't go that route though.
