Does being hot make life easier? by goobycomicsin AskReddit

[–]PuppyBreath 0 points1 point ago

I don't know much about statistics, but I always hear that the tall handsome guy wins out over the short, average-looking guy. But it's all hearsay to me.

What is the most computer illiterate thing you've witnessed? by Peppe22in AskReddit

[–]PuppyBreath 1 point2 points ago

I'm late to the party but you might still find this funny. Pop-pop is 82 and recently got a computer. When my husband was teaching him basics, my husband said to take the mouse and click on an icon. Pop-pop held the mouse aloft and attempted to move the cursor by waving the mouse around in the air.

Edit: Other than the technology thing, Pop-pop is very intelligent. I had to stifle my laughter while watching this.

3 weeks after moving in, my dogs and my boyfriend's cats still don't know what to make of each other. by nomnomgoodnessin dogpictures

Had to do a double take, my dogs look just like these guys! :)

What "amazing fact" or colloquialism do you know is actually wrong, and you're sick of correcting people about it? by TestZeroin AskReddit

[–]PuppyBreath 1 point2 points ago

Shoot, I handled all of my dog's puppies when they were born. Even bottle fed a couple. I handled those puppies good.

My son better pick something other than "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish" for bedtime reading tonight. I'm about to choke the Yink who drinks pink ink. by LindyJaynein books

[–]PuppyBreath 1 point2 points ago

Hahaha my daughter went through the same phase a few months ago. I solved it by getting different Seuss books. She eventually got bored with them and moved on to other ones.

Reddit, what are your thoughts/opinions on long distance relationships? by mock4lyfein AskReddit

[–]PuppyBreath 0 points1 point ago

I suppose it can work, however both parties have to be determined to make it work. It's pretty hard to be far away from your SO all the time, and people change. Depends on how long you are apart for too.

I personally don't think it works only because I think that proximity is a factor in creating those feelings of "falling in love" (serotonin, higher levels of estrogen for men and testosterone for women.)

Finding "The one"? by bucpunter08in AskReddit

[–]PuppyBreath 1 point2 points ago

I don't think you ever really know who "the one" is. If you find someone you love and get along well with, then that's all that matters. You have to make accommodations for each other and learn how to compromise, and of you can find that happy medium with someone, then that's your "one." There can be one, or several.

You grow up the same way that you became a young adult. It's time to pick your future life and you can only choose between a career in science or art (open to any and all discipline but restricted to ONLY that discipline) for the rest of your life. Which do you choose and why? by 420Ninjain AskReddit

[–]PuppyBreath 0 points1 point ago

I would become an astronomer. Seriously, I would never get tired of it because I can always discover new stars, moons or planets to study. Not to mention using the telescope to look at faraway objects, like a ship offshore or something along the lines.

Adults of Reddit: Have you enjoyed adulthood more than your childhood? by oZeplikeoin AskReddit

[–]PuppyBreath 0 points1 point ago

The lack of responsibility is pretty awesome, but imagine having the capability to save up an use your money as you see fit.

I enjoy adulthood because I can watch the news and understand how certain things will affect me, or the economy.

If you miss the freedom of no responsibilities, then set aside a day where you do absolutely nothing adult-related. Play with Legos, eat Cheetos or just watch TV. :)

I judge other parents all the time. Especially the ones that rape and/or beat their kids.

So my friend couldn't afford a prom dress. by okayjpgin pics

[–]PuppyBreath 0 points1 point ago

The point I'm trying to make is that a roll of caution tape costs $3 while a nice dress would have cost far more. Even if it's just a $30 dress. Someone commented on the look of the bathroom under the impression that she could afford it but she's just being an attention whore. What if that bathroom is at a friend's house and her family lives off food stamps?

These judgments based solely on one photo is harsh. Hasn't anyone ever been a teenager attempting to make their mark on the world? They have no idea who they are at that age and for her to be brave enough to be different she gets branded as an "attention whore." I'm not saying it's a classy choice of a dress, but it's just as crass to call someone that based on one photo.

Depends on where you live, I mean a house that is valued the same in a rural city vs NYC or SF will be definitely larger.

Mid 90s makes it at least 15 years old. My house was built in 1955 and it's definitely dated.

Girlfriend says she isn't attracted to me anymore, but still loves me. How do I deal with this? by ThrowawayCity123456in AskReddit

[–]PuppyBreath 1 point2 points ago

Leave her. I'm a girl and if there's no sexual attraction left, everything else eventually falls apart.

What are some small, insignificant things that you judge people for? by WtfWhereAreMyClothesin AskReddit

I purposely slow down more when there is someone tailgating me. I'll brake check them too.

[–]PuppyBreath -10 points-9 points ago

The bathroom that has linoleum and dated cabinets? Prom dresses can get upwards of $300.

Edit: Downvotes for judging her bathroom? Other person did the exact same thing and called her an attention whore too. I don't understand your logic.

Have you ever stood up for a stranger? If so, what was it like and how did it turn out? by the_wizard_guyin AskReddit

No, WT in the US are not necessarily violent people. Many are socially inept and have no social graces.

I have never used marijuana. As a result, all I know is based on the seemingly constant praise and justification it receives on the internet. Reddit, what are your worst experiences with the drug and why is it illegal? by MagikalGiantin AskReddit

I ate a weed laced Rice Krispies treat and it gave me a panic attack. I thought my heart had stopped. Other than that it just makes me hungry, or giggly or sleepy.

I know a girl whose first name is Lady and second name is Diana. She goes by Lady.

I became a U.S. Citizen today and it feels like I arrived late in a party and there's no more cake and the music is dying and there's trash and some stray drunks around. Can reddit point out the things I should be grateful for and proud of that are special of America? by [deleted]in AskReddit

[–]PuppyBreath 4 points5 points ago

The process is an arduous one. Why even bother to take the tests and pay the fees if you feel this way? It takes 5 years for an immigrant to become eligible to apply for citizenship, so in the very least you had five years to see the economic decline happen.

This is by no means a jerk comment, but I became naturalized 10 years ago. If I felt like I was just going to "get to the party late" I wouldn't have gone through the hassle of standing in line, fingerprinting, the tests and the ceremony. When I got naturalized it cost around $500. I imagine it's more now. Why are you just now asking this question?

What ending to a book did you like the most? by the_wizard_guyin AskReddit

[–]PuppyBreath 1 point2 points ago

I really liked the ending to I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith. It's so bittersweet, and doesn't end the way you want it to but it really shows the complexity of human relationships.
