Thank you. If you've ever taken psychology, you know these things have at least some kind of effect on you. I understand the uproar against censorship, and the whole argument. I think that violent video games do have a way of desensitizing violence, as well as violent movies. Maybe it doesn't create violent people, but it allows people to be more accepting of violent things.

Ok cool. And I do rap as well, so I tried rapping on your beat. It's possible, but you really would have to find someone w/ an open mind.. It's cool though.

As a hip hop producer I have a couple suggestions for you. Don't take offense, just giving input. Basically, this beat is not great for rapping on. The main reason for this is it's too complicated. Keep things simple, especially to start off in a hip hop beat. If you're looking for someone to be able to rap on it, start out with a simple four on the floor drum patter. Four on the floor means you have a simple Kick > Snare > Kick > Snare.. Nothing complicated - just hitting the kick and snare to keep the time. Underlying that drum pattern, you can bring in these other cool sounds that you have in this beat, and they will work well, I like the sounds.

The part of the beat that complicates it is where you placed your kick drums in relation to the snare. It sounds almost like a pop track that needs a singer on it, rather than a rapper. In fact, I think you have your snares and kicks on the up beat rather than the down beat which would make it comparable to a raggae or even punk rock song with a electronic edge. If you're looking for something that's good to rap over, keep it real simple, and keep your snares on the down beat. Sounds good tho man, cool shit.. Hope I helped.

Kid Cudi Launches Twitter Tirade Against His "Weak Ass Label" for Poor Handling of WZRD Album by viborgin hiphopheads

[–]SamyK 35 points36 points ago*

I've been listening to Kid Cudi since the mixtapes. Obviously, HHH is not going to like the path he has decided to take with his music (He no longer raps).. IMO, as someone who loves music in general and not just hip hop, I think his new album is awesome. The first listen was good, but the second listen was great. He's doing what he wants to do, he's not catering to the hip hop heads.

And as for this whole 'twitter rant'.. I was watching it as it was occurring, on twitter, and it actually didn't come off as a rant at all. His tweets were much more spread out over time, and in between all these tweets he was saying really positive things about how open minded his fans are and how he loves rock and roll nowadays... It wasn't all about his 'weak ass label'. But honestly.. he does deserve better treatment. He's a major artist. His label probably was pissed off about his artsy ass album, but fuck them. Honestly, fuck his label.

Anyone who hates on someone for hating on their label, has never dealt with major labels before. Seriously. They are filled with punk ass suits, who are about pop music and don't give a fuck about art, only making money. You have a quota, and you have to meet it.. If you don't meet the quota, you're sitting on the bench for the rest of the game. His label didn't have enough confidence that his project would sell, so they went half-ass on him. Which is just stupid. On top of all this, the reason he is bringing it up in the first place is because everyone was tweeting at him how the stores weren't carrying hard copies of it. People were saying how they couldn't find the album anywhere.

To name the post 'Kid Cudi Launches Twitter Tirade' is just superficial and a sensationalist tactic. Get your shit together. Cudi is a real dude.

Hate all you want. I'm gonna quote another one of his tweets. --- "When someone goes out their way to tweet you some hate, they love your cock. In or around their mouth. My mushroom tip, full on."

I used to listen to Animal Collective all the time in high school (Junior in college now). I'm definitely a fan. If I do another mash up album I think it's going to be Sigur Ros and Nas. I appreciate it man, my favorite Animal collective song is 'Grass' from Feels. EDIT: meant to say 'Did you see the words' from feels. Actually not that fond of 'Grass' haha

This project was just something I did for fun, as a challenge for myself. I don't think I'm gonna do any more mashups. Possibly though, we'll see... Actually I have done mashups a little in the past (not as finished of a product, however) http://sketcho.bandcamp.com/track/in-for-the-lights-sketcho-remix

This is the only mashup I've done. I mostly just do hip hop production. You can get the whole tape here, though, if that's what you mean
