That's the spirit. Discourage players to even try to master tier 4.

Tier 4 is fine, you just need to adept and train up your crew.

I except A-20 and AMX 40 from this rule.

A scout is a decisive advantage, and WG said with the next revision of the MM they will make sure every team has a scout or none.

I'm OK with the MM not balancing out player skill. It would make the game more boring, and bad players would only play other bad players and would start to think they are good enough.

If MM balanced pout players skills, it would make winrates meaningless and all players would converge to the same winrate.

So Tier 8 Heavie = 40*1.45 = 58 Tier 9 Medium = 60

So they are pretty balanced in their metric. The matchmaker works according to specification. You can argue about the factors though.

AP is perfect for t-26. But there are a hand full of tanks that ought to be played with HE (high explosive) ammo and come default with AP preset. But this info is a bit premature for you.

Just check out your future tanks, if they got significantly higher HE damage and similar penetration values, they have a howitzer kind of gun which is better used with HE ammo. See the Hetzer.

You should play it like a sniper. Drive in a bush with good view of the battle and snipe with the top gun. It's quite accurate. Lead targets that are far away. Most of the time it's enough to aim at their leading edge.

Don't buy the next tank, invest credits in crew training and buy vents and a camo net for your tank. This will make your tank behave more to your liking and make you harder to spot.

You will also have to figure put where to go and take position on all the maps during different phases of the game. If that sounds like work to you, there is nothing wrong with doing just whatever in tier 2. In higher tiers you should try to get better though.

If you are on the EU server I can play a few games with you. Show you where to go etc.
