rudy's is so underrated. I'm not saying its able to compete with franklins or kreuz, but the thing about rudy's is:
you can walk in any time and get decent quality bbq. no humongous lines. also, with say, kreuz and the other traditional bbq joints, the later in the day you go, the drier the bbq gets, until they run out. franklin's dosen't have that problem cause they run out at 11:30, also franklins wraps in plastic and puts it in a meat locker.
second, and maybe this is just preference, rudys cutters cut the brisket very thin, compared to the super thick cuts of the traditional places. we're talking millimeters compared to centimeters. cutting it thinner adds the illusion of tenderness
