No, it just means that there isn't another team nearby.

Then don't go. This is America and you can show your displeasure for a business by not patronizing them.

Sounds like teachers in Japan get the treatment that cops in the US get.

Collective punishment is wrong.

I live in California and dispensaries are being raided all the time. I know what Obama said, look at what he's done. He also said he would close Gitmo and end the Bush tax cuts. Neither one of those things have happened either. Just google "obama medical marijuana raids" and look at the hundreds of stories of raids. You might find one or two that mention a school.

US elections: Why does the world's greatest democracy offer just two choices? by TommyCollinsin TrueReddit

In North Korea Joe Six Pack has zero influence on the political process. Maybe you should move there. The Senate was created to get the slave-holding, less populated states to join the US.

Why would we need to have a recount? If we had a popular vote, Gore wins by 500,000 votes. And if people are so stupid/easily manipulated, why have voting at all?

Of course not, but your post implied it wasn't considered at all, which could not be further from the truth. If you had put "not SOLEY based on the seriousness of the crime," I'd be fine.

Seriousness of the crime is absolutely a factor. Why do you think bail for murder cases is so high?

[–]TheLizardKing89 4 points5 points ago

Uh, no they haven't. They've raided grows, marijuana schools, & told dispensaries they can't deduct business expenses on their taxes. Obama is on track to be worse than Bush on this issue. If you think otherwise, you are wrong. You think all of the hundreds of raids are because they are too close to schools?

Well, with that logic, 100 million votes could disappear, what would we do then? The idea that we should keep this shitty system (a system that elected the wrong guy twice) because it could potentially make some very rare problems easier is redicolius. And you're totally right that 1960 was super close.

All dispensaries violate federal law by possessing & distributing marijuana. If local law governments want to zone these businesses, let them. Don't involve the DEA.

What planet are you living in where the popular vote difference in a presidential election is 100k votes? There hasn't been a margin of less than 500k votes for over 100 years.
