Aroldis Chapman Arrest Video - YouTube by gem_city_brewingin Reds

Routine traffic stop. Chapman was speeding, and pulled over when the officer began trailing him and turned his lights on. He shouldn't be doing that, but all things considered, this isn't a big deal.

The guy is a monster. I'm really glad that the team overspent to keep him in a Reds uniform for the long haul.

From the article:
Henry died in Charlotte, N.C., on Dec. 17 after falling out or jumping out of the back of a pickup truck driven by his fiancée, Loleini Tonga. The head injuries that killed Henry were not related to the C.T.E. finding because the proteins and other changes that mark C.T.E. develop only over time, Bailes said.
EDIT :: The OP posting a link to C.T.E's wikipedia page. Very relevant if you'd like to get a basic understanding of what's been discussed.

Really would be a great greatness to nothing to redemption story, much better than the asterisk that currently resides atop the single season HR record list.
Watching Mike Leake starts games right now is like..... by fatsaucein Reds

The Nationals are going to have this issue with Steven Strausburg before the year's out. They gave him his innings early, and in the think of the playoff hunt he'll be shut down for the year.
I'd rather have Chapman throwing a few innings in relief now and make his move to the rotation after the all star break if it means he'll have a shot at pitching into the playoffs.

Do you have a screen shot of what you're talking about? You've been a bit vague, but I feel like with a bit more specificity we might be able to help you out.

Cursing at somebody and posting what some idiot thinks about the issue isn't going to change anybody's mind.
Agreed that very few people change their mind immediately after and argument. But if you argue enough times logically and without emotion, you can begin to allow the other person to at least empathize with your point of view.
Articulating why you believe what you believe in an intelligent manner is the only way to argue with someone and get results.
[–]VERYstuck 4 points5 points6 points 13 days ago
There were idiots spouting nonsense like you posted for both sides. I don't care what emotional, trivial thoughts this person decides to share with the world, I'm sure there were just as many logically flawed arguments made to vote against amendment one.
Rather than sharing all of these horrible ideas, and engage in a race to the bottom, pointing and shaming those who didn't think everything through, I'd rather the ideas shared about amendment one be kept above board.
Fill the discussion with intelligence and logic rather than emotion and cursing.

Jacob Bell is retiring one month after signing with Bengals by arbysguyin bengals
[–]VERYstuck 2 points3 points4 points 14 days ago
It's just an odd situation. I'm not familiar with a player retiring a month after signing with a new team, so it just seems out of place.
This is certainly not an overbearing loss, but this one strikes me as bizarre.

Well said, and I'd agree with you if there wasn't another horse in the stable that's been lights out all year.
As arbysguy mentions in another post, any time Leake or Bailey lose, the cries for Chapman to move into the starting rotation will get louder and louder.
I'd love for Bailey and Leake to find themselves back on track and get a few quality starts. But if either or both pitchers continue to stumble during their outings, it's hard not to give Chapman serious consideration.
