That makes a lot of sense. I do get why you'd want to keep a piece of proclaimed street art intact, I was just mainly curious why the only times I've seen plexiglassed street art it's a banksy. never ment anything offensive in my comment. Really only out of curiosity, and seeing what others thought.

the plexieglas is only up over banksy's work, and I've seen pictures of a hand full of banks that have the same thing done to them. And either way it's to keep the Banksy there. And not arguing but couldn't people still just chisel it out around the glass?

While I love Banksy's work and has worked to revolutionize the street art scene, I don't know how I feel about cities putting the Plexiglas over his art. What puts Banksy's work above other artists? One of the things I love about street art is that it can be beautiful and insightful, yet if a bit of rain or even another artist comes along the art is moved for something new.
