I think you are missing the point...yes their star fighters will still be stars win or lose, but what Strikeforce does is only hype their stars. They feed fighters to their stars, and don't do anything to hype their less known fighters. In other words, they have no depth to their roster...and not necessarily because of the lack of talent, but because they don't do anything to build the resumes of their mid-level fighers...instead, they feed them to their big stars.

The UFC pushed Brock into the title picture, but not at the expense of their other fighters. They didn't feed anyone to Brock and act like he is unstoppable, but gave him legitimate competition to test him, and with the exception of getting caught by Mir the first time, he passed.

Just look at the Jake Shields situation...watch the teasers for the Shields/Hendo fight...its all Hendo. Then instead of trying to get Shields to resign to continue defending his belt, they drop him completely.

And as for DW not being able to get teammates to fight...he can if he really wants to. He just told Fitch that he will be fighting the winner of GSP/Koscheck...and in the rare chance that Koscheck wins, that would mean Fitch is fighting his teammate.
