Alleged LSD ring busted on Drexel Univ. campus by spaceyraygunin philadelphia

[–]corporatehuman 12 points13 points ago

Sad. Everyone should try LSD once. Don't worry it'll still be out there.

I've been single so long, I don't know how much longer I can take it... by bunnyblossomin ihaveissues

All that sounds pretty nice, can't say I disagree with you. But something about the 'tone' of your post (if that exists) strikes me as off-putting. Especially the last line.

Why can I not have that? I'm so fucking lonely.

One it sounds like you feel that you deserve all these things, like they should be given to you. My problem with that is no one really deserves anything. And the lonely line is just full of self-pity.

Now I'm a male, for one, and I am not a serial dater. I've had stretches of 1-2 years being single. And I've felt exactly like you do right now. So I'm not above any of the things you say. The moment I stopped feeling bad about myself and just let go of controlling things is when I seemed to meet someone. Also I just went out there and lived my life, do the things that you are passionate about.

You say all these things you want to do with your prospective lover, and they are all focused on you and the potential him. I think what you should do is think about you and the prospective world. In the world he is out there. Remember you only love what you can lose. So even meeting some guy will not fix how you feel necessarily, you need to be happy with yourself first. Even Dan Savage would agree.

I wish you the best of luck, and next time you see a guy you think you may like, try and talk to him. Why not?

He's got a PBR in his pocket and he's synchronizing swatches; he's major all right. To OP I think the fact that you ranked him on a Hipster scale has irked some people, as a Sergeant Hipster myself, I'm not sure he qualifies to be a Major just yet, maybe once he converts that unicycle into a fixed gear but until then...

The best $7.50 I have ever spent...What's the best money you have ever spent? by honorhealnurturein AskReddit

Recently I rented a car in California, at a place called Rent-A-Relic, it was locally owned, awesome guys. I decided not to get the insurance and I guess I got lucky, because I had the car for 5 weeks, drove to the Sierra mountains several times, and nothing happened. All told I only spent 750 for the 5-week rental, but I was under the assumption my card would cover anything. So glad nothing happened! I remember driving back to the rental office that day after 5 weeks just praying I wouldn't get into some last fender-bender. Thanks for the info.

Correct me if I'm wrong...I thought if you rented a car with a credit card, that the credit card somehow provided insurance?

IAmA Nightclub doorman in Miami. Ask me anything. by MrBoogakingin IAmA

I understand that it's conducive to the business and so on, I was just curious if it personally bothered you. Business aspect aside. I guess I'd find it difficult to discriminate people based purely on looks, but I'm not in the business and am not concerned about profit. Club policy at one point was probably racially based a few decades ago (maybe even more recently), and that'd bother me too.

So you discriminate on looks (fat girls) and attire? Does that bother you at all?

Noam Chomsky on Ron Paul: "Ron Paul's a nice guy. If I had to have dinner with one of the Republican candidates, I'd prefer to have it with him -- but, his policies are off the wall..." by R2D5in politics

[–]corporatehuman 2 points3 points ago

After watching one of Paul's youtube speeches, I switched to a Republican so I could vote for him in the primary. After researching his policies on reddit and other sites, I realized I could no longer vote for him. The truth is I'd like for him to debate Obama, and I think he'd make Obama into a better candidate, but my fear is that by some miracle of God he'd win the Republican primary and then the presidency and I'd forced with confronting the fact that I helped vote him into office. So therefore, I cannot vote for him. I guess I am going for Stephen Colbert in the primary as a protest vote.

These 61 Senators are refusing to meet with their constituents before the critical Jan 24 vote on PIPA/SOPA. Oh Reddit, can you call them? by fightforthefuturein politics

[–]corporatehuman 0 points1 point ago

Hey guys just called in to Bob Casey. Looks like it's starting to work...the person who answered the phone just assumed that I opposed PIPA before I had to say anything. Basically I told her I was in opposition to it and asked for him to hold a public meeting before the 24th. KEEP CALLING!!!

Are you guys REALLY contacting your Senators? Not from what I'm seeing. The phones were quiet in my Senator's office today. GET OUT THERE AND CALL ABOUT PIPA/SOPA by IWorkForASenatorin politics

The cowardice of the internet...people are actually afraid of calling their reps, real voices are far too human.

Story of a man who lost 3.7 mil in life savings, lost a playoff game, lost his job, and had his daughter fight cancer. Came back like a boss. by kosmos1209in sports

[–]corporatehuman 1 point2 points ago

And I agreed with getting rid of the three you mentioned. Even Dawkins (though it's really hard...) but I still felt like Akers, as a kicker (a position with much more longevity) still could produce at a very high level. So I really didn't understand why Reid got rid of him, except as scape-goating someone on the team instead of accepting responsibility...I even like Reid for the most part, but I think he will live to regret getting rid of Akers.

Any Eagles fan is a fan of Akers, he's up there with Dawkins. His termination was part of Reid's scapegoating, per usual. He missed two field goals in a very windy game, I won't go into the details but check them out (neither were by ANY means easy) and he was thrown under the bus. This guy had played his heart out for the Eagles for 10+ years and the franchise let him down. I often think of him when I bleed green....
