Ladies! What are your tips for losing inches as opposed to just weight? by twofishin xxfitness

What was the biggest lie of your generation? by fireball_73in AskReddit

I remember asking my grade 11 math teacher why we needed to learn sine and cosine if most of us were not going on to be engineers or grade 11 math teachers, never mind spend over $100 on the calculator to graph it. Her reply was "you are here learning this because the real world is not ready for you yet." I never learned that math, and I never needed to know it thus far in my life, but man, did I ever respect her after that.

I find that most people in Windsor hate on their city more than most other cities, forget that. What are you most proud of as a Windsorite? by TheCleverestUsernamein windsorontario

[–]couchleopard 3 points4 points ago

Agreed! Nothing like a slice of pizza from Capri or a Chicken Delight from the Penalty Box!!!

Also, I love that we get the Detroit Skyline. I know it's technically a view of Detroit, but you only get that view from the Windsor side and it's beautiful every season!

Funny how there are so many things I love about Windsor now that I don't live there anymore...

Do you ever draw something really awesome and then hate yourself because it's on lined paper? This would be one of those times for me.

Hey Reddit - What's one character you cannot stand from a show or movie you otherwise enjoy? by euphoniumatemydingoin AskReddit

[–]couchleopard 1 point2 points ago

he lost cupcake girl because he cheated on her with Robin while she was out of the country. that was all on Ted. Now we have to listen to him whine about his mistake.

I agree though that they are showing the situation from more angles than just Ted's experience. Cupcake girl got to move on and "win the breakup" which makes it less about Ted and more about how life goes on and "you can't always get what you want"

What misconceptions do people commonly hold about your line of work? by Kooncein AskReddit

Usually it's a two year program that teaches you how to use a stenograph machine. This line of work requires a typing speed (on the steno machine) of 225 words per minute.

Alright guys, I'm going to be building a home theater. What should I look for in a projector? by Pants_R_Overatdin DIY

[–]couchleopard 1 point2 points ago

it's as easy as screwing in a lightbulb, but they are expensive.. somewhere in the neighbourhood of 200 dollars... but with careful use you should be able to get at least 2-3 years worth out of your bulb. I was rather careless and used my projector like a regular television and fell asleep in front of it more than once.. (being mindful of your bulb's life is good) anyway hope that was somewhat helpful.

I bought my projector from Benq, and let me tell you, for what it was worth (around $800) it did everything that I needed it to. Had xbox, wii, surround as well as the Dvd and a WD live hooked into it. I can't think of the exact model off hand, but the picture quality was amazing, even having a light on in the room. Can't say enough good things about it.

Only complaint is that the lightbulb burnt out in it after two years of pretty consistant use (which is to be expected) and the new house I moved into doesn't have a wall suited for a projector.

I miss my home theatre system!!!!

I just want to say that after having a ridiculously on and off month of January, and really having no direction other than trying to watch what I was eating and crossing my fingers for nice weather (didn't happen) I have finally researched and decided I will join a gym. (I just moved to a new place that is pretty well a middle of nowhere kind of deal, so finding a place was kind of a challenge.) What I'm hoping to get out of this: Whoopin' my arse into the shape I want it to be, and making the most out of the next 60 days. Oh, and maybe a little networking with like minded people and making some girlfriends would be pretty awesome too!

Soldier on through your PMS, you can do it! We all slip every once and awhile and that's okay. I'll hold your hand whenever you need it :)

hello lovely ladies! I too am back on track after what was a shameful and lazy two days. Went hiking yesterday for approximately 3kms with my dog on snowy varied terrain and it felt glorious. And was under my calorie goal for the day. I'm curious though, how do you ladies tackle shark week.. this has constantly been my biggest hurdle. I know this is not an excuse because we all go through it, but sometimes I just lose my mind and my give a fuck during shark week and say bah, this one week I'll eat whatever I want because i'm in pain and bloated anyway and then make up for it after. It's like I'm constantly working it off.

Is there any kind of snacks you ladies prefer when your rationality for the need of chocolate goes out the window? I can't be alone here, right?

Appreciate any suggestions, including ones telling me to man the fuck up lol
