It's subjective. You spent 60 bucks on a game that you did not enjoy for the first 20 hours. I could not rationalize my purchase by saying it gets better with something like that. Even if the first 5 hours are shit, I'm playing a game I paid for and am not enjoying it, I've invested time, and it's hard to put a price on a clock that's ticking your life away.

I've come to the conclusion you're just not human. Something horrific like that I can't just brush off. It's not going to weigh on my mind or anything but I'm going to have a human reaction to that (it's in our nature), and like you said earlier hallucinogens do amplify feelings.

It means you can't handle or just don't want to deal with it on a hallucinogen. Say I was tripping on acid and I see someone just get obliterated by a train infront of me. I know and accept very well that death is part of life and people kill themselves. But I'm tripping hard and it just fucks with the whole trip. Taking xanax isn't running away from you not being able to handle death, you're just tripping balls and rather not have that person exploding on your mind.

Extreme example but you get what I mean.

Bad trips are not black and white like that. Hallucinogens are very powerful and unpredictable. Drugs do not only amplify feelings, they create new ones, change the way you think and feel. Just because you had a bad trip does not mean you can not handle something or something is nessarily bothering you.
