What items are a "must have" to keep on hand in regards to your bike? (Tools, chemicals, cleaners, etc.) by ezenbrowntownin motorcycles

I've got these, They hold my bike very comfortably and are super strong. I've not used the pitbulls to compare against, but I find these completely satisfactory. I've got the rear stand and the front stem/wheel stand.

Pretty much Milkdrop. This is Project M, the Linux equivalent, for your phone. I don't have it myself, but I have installed Project M on Ubuntu and it is amazing.

I'm in Florida, which likely means you are in California. In the event that you are nearby, I would be happy to help you with having one less extra exhaust if the part I'm watching falls through.

I'm sure you'd be all too happy to reverse engineer my own custom exhaust for yourself.

That was my first post to r/motorcycles. As a fellow 650r rider, you may find it and the album interesting. It details the original condition and changes to my bike.

So far I found a few between $40-80, but the money situation is a little tight. Trying to get it on the cheap. I figured that people would basically give their stock cans away after getting aftermarket parts.

Trying to get a stock can. Watching one on ebay now, actually.

Yep. 2005 Ninja 250 in galaxy silver. Sold it a while back. I hope it is being used.

The backpressure is a concern, but it hasn't misbehaved as badly as when I first got it since I got it. The previous owner also ran higher octane than needed, which may have contributed slightly.

The previous owner was not a good owner. The original owner was responsible for the devastation that passes for an exhaust can.

Also, lmao, the last thing I would call it is a muffler. In that function, it is exceedingly poor. I call it a flow inverter as it blasts exhaust out of the opposite side of where it normally would.

Bok Tower is worth a two hour drive if you go early and stay late. The Gardens are really very soothing and the atmosphere is really very clear.

It is really quite loud. I would like to find someone local with a stock 650r to test ride against, because I have nothing to compare it to. Except my old 250r. Against which this is much louder.

The ride seem just fine, but I still have nothing to compare it too. When I first got it, it seemed like it was too rough at idle, but that went away after getting it back home. The previous owner only ever rode it in neighborhoods, so perhaps the fuel mix was too rich?

Do you notice your 650r brutally loud? Or brutally smooth?

What makes Titanium Backup Pro so great? by xakeriin Android

My favorite part is extracting applications and app data from Nandroid backups made with Clockworkmod Recovery. I still make backups with TB, but not having to do one before a clean install is great.

This seems to be a wise decision. I am considering this route when my contract with Sprint is up and over. I am just unclear as to how it works. How did you it?

Maybe Irish buddies would be useful to the endeavor. It is difficult to be certain, but with three people, drunk, with varying levels of vision and mental presence, and varying heights of suspension from rafters, it is possible that, by chance, we could make an exhaust system so complete as the one presently rusted to my bike.

But only if the Irish whisky is in good supply.

i have a question about wifi tethering. by criskyFTWin Android

This contains the answers that you seek.

The us variant d710 for sprint contains no such default wifi tethering option as sprint wants money for tethering. This should help guide you to installing a custom ROM capable of tethering.

Thanks, you are probably right. The level of quality is above what I could ever hope to achieve while drunk, blindfolded and suspended from rafters.

That's understandable. But this guy went the DIY route and said to himself, " back pressure is for great grandmother and she's dead".

I'm so impressed by it that I too think I need to swap the exhaust for...anything else.

Its just the best upgrade money isn't needed to buy. Using an ordinary kitchen knife or equivalent, the previous owner of my bike created an exhaust capable of blasting leaves far and away from the bike, like a helicopter touching down.

That is a gutted exhaust. You can see not one, but TWO types of screws retaining the serrated flap that guards the exhaust.

Are all international phones compatible with T-mobile's $30/ month plan? by qwasz123in Android

[–]dosomethingtoday 5 points6 points ago

Not yet. Right now you have to check to see if a phone's radios are compatible with TMobiles frequencies. Often times the phones will work just fine as phones, but data may be relegated to EDGE speeds. Slow.

T-Mobile is in the process of sun setting a band normally reserved for EDGE/2G and making it 3g compatible. This will allow for many more phones to be used on T-Mobile with full phone/text/data compatibility.

On my 2007 650r, I dropped the height by one inch using a motowerks lowering link and sliding the front tubes through the forks.

According to motowerks that is the limit before things start to interfere with the bike suspension.

What I did notice from this is that the handling dynamics changed. In my case, the bike felt much more agile. More like my old 250r(which was super easy to handle).

In the 2006-2008 models, there was a cover that could be out over the back seat. It seems to be a similar setup here. Several after market types exist, and I think there is a factory option as well.

None of these add trunk space : (

I opted for the colored vinyl rear section as it was much cheaper.
