It's okay. But thank you. :)

I read about how you wanted to come out to your co-worker in another thread and I am so happy you finally did! I was really looking forward to hearing about it. Congrats! :)

What "amazing fact" or colloquialism do you know is actually wrong, and you're sick of correcting people about it? by TestZeroin AskReddit

I don't know. My rabbit had bunnies and we held them right. Well, when we put them back in with the mom she ate one of them. One of the most horrific things I've ever seen. :(

Got a source for this by chance? I've been trying to tell my mom this for years but she won't fucking believe me. "Don't believe everything you read on the internet." I don't know why I care so much but it's making me crazy.

This may blow your mind, but some people actually like things that you don't. I for one love her sense of fashion and hairstyle. Messy pink/purple hair is the shit. And yes, in my opinion she's gorgeous, a stance I seem to share with a lot of people here based on how many upvotes this thread has.

Some examples of what she looked like before: #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6; a couple more recent after shots: #1, #2; and a few older after shots: #1, #2, #3. She definitely looks way cuter as a girl!

IAmA 23 yr old male who has never masturbated, had an orgasm, or had sex. AMA. by SadThrowaway6217in IAmA

[–]el3ctr0nika 0 points1 point ago

Sure, that would be great!

My interest is mainly that I'd like to see what people who have been exposed to either no or low levels of sex hormones throughout their life look like as adults. I can pretty much imagine already what they might look like but I'd like to actually be able to see a few examples. Mostly just a passing curiosity. :P

That is very strange. I wonder if you have some degree of partial androgen insensitivity syndrome or something. That might also potentially explain the undescended testes.

What are your secondary sexual characteristics like? (e.g., body hair, broadened shoulders, deepened voice, increased musculature, etc.) Are you underdeveloped at all? I'm kind of curious to see what you look like actually. Would posting a pic be out of the question?

MTFs: What was/is your breast growth like so far? by el3ctr0nikain asktransgender

I suppose that's true. We'll see how my blood work comes back I guess.

MTFs: What was/is your breast growth like so far? by el3ctr0nikain asktransgender

[–]el3ctr0nika[S] 0 points1 point ago

I'd be interested in hearing your responses to these questions OP.

Sure! Here you go:

  • 10 mg/w IM estradiol valerate & 100 mg/d (50 mg x2) spironolactone. Started the estradiol at the current dose right away, whereas I started spiro at a dose of 25 mg/d which was doubled to 50 mg/d 2.5 weeks and then doubled again to 100 mg/d 3.5 weeks in. Looking to double it once more to 200 mg/d soon hopefully. My T levels are likely nothing, but I nonetheless feel compelled to continue to beat a dead horse in this case ("DIE T, DIE!! MUHAHAHAHA!!").

  • I first noticed nipple puffiness and breast itchiness and tenderness 12 days in. It has been more or less constant since then. 3 weeks in I noticed hard breast buds forming under my nipples. 4 weeks in I noticed for the first time that my entire breasts had filled out slightly and were observably larger all around. I would say that they were at about Tanner stage 1.5 by this point, though still not even an AAA cup probably. 7 weeks in they had filled in more and for the first time actually began to look something like real breasts. I had caught my mom looking (first time I caught anybody lol) at them a few days prior, and a week later she mentioned to me that they were starting to become obvious and that I might want to wear less tight of clothes so as to avoid possible embarrassment out in public. By this time I would say they were AAAs maybe, although that's just an educated guess (not actually measuring). Finally, tomorrow will be 9 weeks (or 2 months). By this point they've filled in a little more and are probably AAAs or possibly AAs at Tanner stage 2.5 or so, but again those are just educated guesses. In any case, so far so good!

  • As mentioned above, I first noticed pain and tenderness as well as itchiness 12 days in. Since then it has remained fairly constant. It's not really that bad of pain at all honestly and it's not even close to what some of the trans girls here report of not even being able to stand the feeling of their shirt touching them. I'm a little concerned about that because I've read that inflammation is the key to breast growth and hence, the more pain the better apparently. Also, was nailed by a fridge door the other day on my right boob which wasn't fun, but really still not terribly painful.

  • At 4 weeks when my breasts first started to look noticeably larger I became really turned on for a little while. In addition, in part due to increased sensitivity, they were really fun to play with. However, I could tell that my testosterone was still a little high back then (i.e., erections namely). Since, my testosterone has decreased considerably (due to having doubled my spiro dose a few times), and along with it my sex drive has diminished to virtually nothing as well. Kinda miss fondling myself and enjoying it so much, but oh well!

That's pretty much it. :)

Mostly the beard shadow and maybe eyebrows. Try fixing those two things up.

You do look great though. :)

Hormone Levels - HRT Timelime by Emily_MIin asktransgender

[–]el3ctr0nika 0 points1 point ago

Your levels are extremely good. For instance, your estradiol and total estrogen levels are actually not in the female range, they're ABOVE it. Well above it in fact. I would actually be a little bit worried about my estrogen levels if they were that high (due to the risk of blood clots, melasma, etc.). And your testosterone is virtually nothing. You couldn't get much lower if you had an orchi.

As for why you aren't as far along as you'd like to be, well, it's kind of hard to know. Not everyone responds that well to HRT, while others are just late-bloomers. Age and diet are significant factors as well. The older you are the less effective HRT will be. And if, say, you're trying to lose weight while on HRT, that's basically the worst thing you can do in regards to getting results.

If breast growth is a major concern here, possibly consider trying a progestogen. Bioidentical progesterone is the best. If you're on a diet, or if you can afford to gain some weight, try eating more. That's what I'm doing—gonna gain a bunch of weight and then lose most of it after the crucial developmental stages of transition are complete. Last but not least, possibly consider feminization surgery if you have the funds for it.

Good luck.

Breast development and seeing changes by Carbox1994in asktransgender

Well that explains it. That is one heck of a strong regimen. Not at all surprised you're having such rapid effects with a regimen like that.

Breast development and seeing changes by Carbox1994in asktransgender

[–]el3ctr0nika 1 point2 points ago

I don't know if it's normal but it's the same case for me. My mood has improved TREMENDOUSLY. My OCD and neuroticism both literally went away as well. I just seem to have traces of them left. Breast development has already occurred, I'm at Tanner stage 2.5 or so. Dunno what that translates to in cup size exactly but probably an AA or AAA. Will need a bra soon. 5'8.5, 123 lb, 21 year old by the way.

I think it has a lot to do with dose and route of administration. For example, I'm taking my estradiol via the intramuscular route, which supposedly from what I've read is the most effective route, and my dose, 10 mg, is the highest that's generally used. That seems to explain why my progress has been so rapid. What about you?

Finasteride and depression - does anyone have any personal experience about this? by Sub_servicein asktransgender

[–]el3ctr0nika 0 points1 point ago

Ahh, my bad. Totally didn't catch that. I thought you were trying to say that more T would make a trans woman depressed because "trans women aren't wired for male hormones" or something along those lines. Which, in this case, wouldn't actually make any sense to begin with since lowering DHT would result in a net anti-androgen effect. But yeah, that's not what you were trying to say at all, so my apologies!

In any case, honestly I think it has less to do with more aromatizable T available than it does with the reduction of androgen receptor activation by DHT though. I say that because only about 4% of T is converted to DHT. Hence, the increase in T levels from finasteride would more than likely be so low as to be virtually fully insignificant for facilitating estrogen production in most cases. However, since DHT is ~3-10x as potent as T in activating the androgen receptor (which, at a conversion rate of 4%, would mean that DHT could be responsible for as much as 11-27% of the total androgen activity in the body (if my math is right)), and since the androgen receptor negatively regulates gene expression of aromatase (IIRC/am not mistaken), ablation of DHT in the body on the other hand could in theory produce more significant of effects (though, finasteride only inhibits DHT production by about 65-70% at most since it doesn't inactivate both forms of 5α-reductase, unlike dutasteride). Indeed, though pretty rare, gynecomastia can be a side effect of finasteride and dutasteride. And inhibition of androgen receptor activity seems to be how antiandrogens like spiro and cypro cause gynecomastia and other feminizing effects as well.

Anyway, sorry for my ramblings. Feel perfectly free to ignore them if you wish.
