To clarify, I don't know why it grossed me out more than anything else on Reddit!

I don't know, I was too scared to try. I thought I'd REALLY be screwed if I swallowed glass.

This might be the most disturbing thing I've ever read on reddit. And I checked out /r/spacedicks once. I don't know why, but this really grossed me out. Congratulations.

You don't even think about it at first. It was probably an entire minute before I realized I had broken my leg (femur) and then another minute before I knew my ankle was broken, too. It hurt but not really that bad until the shock wore off. Shock is an amazing defense mechanism.

I broke my left leg and right ankle in a heads on collision and had to be cut out using the jaw of life. My first post crash thought was that I was pissed because my root beer probably got glass in it.

Would you be taller if you had a choice? by Sanctionedin ShortPeople

No way. I'm a girl though and I love being short. It's "my thing" if that makes sense.

I'm 4'11", just barely missing the midget mark. I teach middle school and am constantly mistaken for one of the students. I recently was hired as a new school and went to meet my new coworkers this week. Upon entering the room, a lady shouted "That must be the 'twelve year old'!"

Ugh.

Luckily my husband is 6'5" so he helps me with reaching stuff at home. I no longer have to climb on the counters!

Redditors who have tattoos for a long time now - do you regret them or still think they they're awesome? by ritave72in AskReddit

[–]gildedyak 0 points1 point ago

I've had mine about six years. It's a Chinese character on my foot that supposedly means "in mourning" but who knows what it really says. I wish I had never gotten it. It's in memory of my brother so it does have meaning but its embarrassing now since it probably says "ugly American" or something.

Good, but I feel like in WW2 days "creepy ass" wasn't a real set of words. I'm probably wrong, though.

My MIL is always sending my husband and me links to websites see wants us to see. Instead of just copying and pasting the URL she somehow attaches the HTML file so we can't actually see the website.

Looks like we'd all better log off the internet since our ancestors didn't have it either.

What is the worst public humiliation you have ever suffered? by leonocin AskReddit

[–]gildedyak 2 points3 points ago

I used to frequent a coffee shop, and one of the employees was in a local band. I really liked the band and had a bunch of their music on my computer.

One day I was in there and seeing him put me in the mood to listen to their album. I pulled it up on my laptop and began listening to it.

After awhile I realized my headphones weren't plugged in. I was really embarrassed and had to leave because I'm sure he thought I was a total creep.

My girlfriend wants to buy a house together. Give me as many reasons as possible to not do this. by MySensesAreTinglingin AskReddit

[–]gildedyak 0 points1 point ago

My husband and I bought a house together before we were even engaged. But we were together for two years and lived together for a complete year before we decided that. Our incomes were pretty much equal. We paid equal parts on the mortgage. I cannot imagine EVER asking him to pay the mortgage on a 4:1 ratio. Sounds like she just wants the status of a nice house without actually paying for it. Until you have loved together for an entire year and are willing to share checking accounts, I'd say you should not even think about buying a house together. And a starter home shouldn't cost near 300k anyway.
