You're kind of an ignorant twat. What Vermont tries to do is do these movements first to encourage other states to do it too. We were one of the first to allow gay marriage, then our neighbor NY did too. They may be meaningless gestures to your small perspective of our state, but they are intended to be the straw that breaks the camels back. We are far from all democrat. We are actually largely Republicans and farmers and people you would see in the south. But the thing is, we aren't the insane bigots that are associated with the term conservative. We just let people be. We're the least religious state, but also the least violent. It's just peaceful here. So you can think what you want, but it's apparently working for us here, as we live happy lives.
