I had been trying to get this girl to go out with me; she was a professional ballerina. I went to one of her shows by myself, flowers in hand. I had really good seats in the 6th row or so, as soon as it was over I stood up and started a standing ovation, which I was alone in for the longest five seconds of my life while the rest of the audience sat on their bums. I took that five seconds and made eye contact with the girl and one of her friends. Eventually the entire crowd joined me in the standing ovation. After the show she said she got so many comments from her fellow dancers asking if I was the guy that was trying to date her. We ended up dating for a year before she ripped out my heart. lol.
