What movie quotes do you find yourself quoting in your everyday life? by Hot_Beef_Injectionin AskReddit

There is a scene from the Dark Crystal when Jen is about to embark on a quest by himself. He asks the powers that be to allow him to find someone to go with him. He is met with silence. Then, he says aloud "Alright, alone then!!!!"

I think that all the time. "Alright, alone then!"

What a kind guy you are to even ask this! Kuddos to you, sir. Also.... I have no suggestion, but I hope you get some good ones.

To procrastinate on Sunday I fulfilled a longstanding goal and learnt to juggle. My progress has amazed me. The geek in me started thinking about the millions of neurons rewiring to build a muscle memory and streamline my movements. Juggling isn't as hard as people think. My husband and I also tried this over a weekend. He learned it easily! I didn't. But, it left me understanding that basic juggling isn't as difficult as I once imagined.

I probably buy 75% of things on base. It's cheaper. But, Germany has lots of things that we don't. We shop in a German supermarket every week. We usually buy meat there and also things that the American supermarket doesn't have.

You have to have a soldier friend to buy it for you, I think. A soldier has to sign you onto base. That's the only way I know to get on.

I'm glad we have a good reputation. I never knew. There are a lot of 18-19 year old guys that go crazy here because they can legally drink. Sometimes, I fear they make a bad name for the rest of us.

The strangest custom? Hmmm. Seating ourselves at a restaurant took a while to get used to. German customer services is quite different compared to the States. Also, I miss things being open all the time in the States. Things are closed a lot more in Germany.

It seems like I'm complaining, but I do love Germany. After a couple years, I guess you begin to miss things from home.

Yeah, it's essential. Almost everyone ships one car from home. We did.

Um, no. I've only been to Ramstein once. I'm a few hours away from there.

We live in a fairly rural area. Many of the locals work on base and rely on the American military for employment.

I'm sure there are some Germans that are upset that we're here, but I haven't met them. I have seen no protests in 2 years.

I love to travel, so I'm thrilled to be in Europe! It sucks that he has to leave sometimes, but I' would much rather be in Europe than stuck in the States.

I've taken classes. They have classes to learn basic, conversational German on base. I've learned the basics, but I'm not fluent.
