I believe that the spa picture is in Victoria, BC Canada at the Empress Hotel.

If you have the date/time of the picture, you could call and ask them for the info on the receipt.

IAmA former Netflix employee that was fired. AMA by MisterTaylorin IAmA

It's funny how often this happens - companies change for the worse (in the eyes of employees) & everyone wants to leave. Or put another way, management fails to set expectations of the employees or fail to manage change properly & just 'let it happen' - this type of thing leads to major dissatisfaction.

Often people who are fired have a completely different view of why they were fired. If you think that a lot of firings happen because of differing expectations on what is "acceptable" (ie how many days off, how big a deal it is to be late, what 'working hard' means, etc), then consider that by definition, many people who get fired don't 'get; the reason tehy are fired 100%.

For example, let's say you just didn't add much to the workplace other than doing your job. You weren't creative, didn't have much ambition, and didn't add any 'value' to the company other than the basics. You were also ate a few times. They would fire you for being late, not because you don't just 'fit in' - this is more difficult to defend (esp in court).

It makes sense - they fire you for the most plausible reason - not the deep-down reason. Either that, or you just refuse to 'hear' the real reason because it 'couldn't possibly be true' or 'they are just assholes' , and focus on one reason in a list of reasons - ie that you were late.

Anyways, the point is that you probably didn't get fired for the reason they told you, or the reason you heard...

THIS you should think about & try to get the to the bottom of the REAL reason ... this is one of the biggest factors in being 'unhappy with the system', is that lacking of self-awareness of the things that stand in your way to 'success' or whatever it means to you in your job.

Ya, you're right - duuuh. I guess I was thinking of some of the other ones that I heard that definitely were stems of the multis.

Here's an interesting discussion of them:

I'm not sure, I found them somewhere on the net a while back. They were described as multitracks, so I was pretty disappointed when I found out that they were stems.

It's actually pretty rare to find real multitracks - remember for most modern recordings (70's+), you'd be looking at 16,24,48 tracks, not 5...

Unfortunately they are not multitracks - they are stems (ie the tracks are grouped & combined, such as all the drums, etc.) Multitracks would be amazing.
