As a 21 year old who's been through a relatively intense emotional roller coaster these last few months:

Be cool with yourself. You have weaknesses, and you have strengths, you have problems and you have solutions. Not all of these overlap all the time, or in necessarily good ways. Everyone is like this. The most important thing I've done recently is to become really comfortable with who I am and what my strengths are and what my weaknesses are. I had to go through a very intense emotional shutdown before I sort of woke up to that.

I'm not really worried about meeting someone at this point. I'm going to keep trying and putting myself out there when the opportunities come up, but I'll be cool if they don't. I just don't have anything to be upset about because I'm happy to just keep moving forward in some way each day.

I took an interesting route to my current outlook. But I think you've got an invalid approach.

This is who I am, a loner son of a bitch who doesn't depend on anyone. I will forever be alone and I'm fine with that. I'm not emotionally dependent on anyone.

Your thought should have stopped at "This is who I am." You shouldn't make rules about anything like this. It's okay to be alone, it's also okay to be with someone, it's also okay to depend on others sometimes, it's okay NOT to depend on others! It all depends. Take each day at a time, things will work out and you'll do fine if you keep a positive outlook and don't make things black and white.

I recently ended a three year relationship because my preferences and needs changed over time. I was unhappy in this relationship because my SO could never be what slowly realized I wanted. It was hard and it wasn't really anyone's fault except mine, but it's not like I wanted this change it was just sort of an awakening, realizing what it is I need and want in a relationship and out of the other person and also myself, and she wasn't the person for me to be with in order to pursue that fulfillment.

I was basically your wife ( megusta ). She's really hurting and frustrated and wants to be happy and has realized that you aren't going to be that person for her. It sucks and it's really hard to go through for both people. I hope this helps or something. Nothing about her behavior makes me think she's seeing someone else, it sounds too familiar to what I went through a few weeks ago.
