EDIT: By the way, Obama didn't flip flop on gay marriage. I think there's a recording of him long time ago advocating for it. So, he's always believed in it. And, I agree, the government should stay the hell out of our marriages. The marriage debate is really based on religion, so again, why the hell is religion through government deciding if 'free' people can get married? BS. Also, agree on the Patriot Act, and allowing drones to spy on citizens, etc. That's going way beyond protecting us. It violates our actual Freedoms. Like I said, I don't agree with everything he's doing, but I also recognize that he is doing some good things. I don't have to be all-or-nothing.

An extensive part of the problem, no matter where you go in this country, and no matter what level; county, city, state, federal, all of the 'choices' of 'running candidates' are mostly SHIT. That seems to be the core illusion.

Virtually, every elected official I can think of is either/and a bigot, stupid, corrupted, greedy, useless, untrustworthy, or crazy. I'm pretty sure there exist talented leaders who are ethical and intelligent. I'm sure some Redditors could apply for the unenviable role of public office. Although, anyone trying to change such a gargantuan, corrupted system would be like a wave created by a single raindrop in the Pacific Ocean. Quickly swallowed up.

I wonder, even with the lacking ethics, if the United States of America is one of the least corrupted countries in the world.

Obama seems to be one of the ethical and intelligent ones astonishingly(POTUS one of the rare 'good ones'.) Don't tell anyone, but he's black. He's the first person to accomplish anything on the much needed health care reform, so the rich companies stop screwing people over for their very life and death. 80% 'perfect' is better than nothing at all, which coincidentally is what the establishment wants, nothing at all.

He repealed "don't ask, don't tell."

He also just recently, openly supported gay marriage. Which, we agree that people are people are people. We are all spinning around on a blue marble for some reason nobody understands, or no reason at all. We are all different, we are all individuals, we are all unique. Bigotry is wrong. Tolerance and acceptance are right. Don't Religions teach that?

He's done many other good things. This is not an Obama Advertisement. I think Marijuana should be immediately legalized. I don't think the government should tell me how to spend my money, ever. ESPECIALLY when it involves forcing me to give money to a hugely expensive, corrupt health-care system. Seriously?! Really?! Give thousands and thousands of dollars to a company whose only goal is to deny me health-care every chance they can?

Obama's attempt is a first step and just a beginning to a solution, and the sooner younger people realize that getting older means your body falls apart, and it's expensive, and excruciating, the sooner they will stand up and get the 10?-year recovery process started, for their own sakes, Republican, Democrat, Tea-Party or Independent.

Some people think The-Tea-Party-Candidate-Pool is even worse than the current pool.
