I suggest that you check with the state of WA to see which schools in CA are listed. CA schools are mostly not accepted in other states. This is a good way of finding out which are.

I know IPSB in San Diego where I trained which is accredited or certified by the uber-organization.

Now I've got these categories

spackle
joint compound == drywall mud
plaster patching compound
vinyl spackle

I've got a bathroom wall to fix. It gets moist with every use of the shower. The paint is peeling off a smooth layer of multiple layers of (latex) paint of (oil paint I presume) green from long ago.

I used joint compound on the window sill of the shower and it basically disolved. From experience I've seen Spackle brand get harder than mud but impossible to sand. I used something called "spackling" that my landlady had last year. It worked well where I used it and it stayed hard. The places I painted over old paint peeled again.

Now the OSH (big hardware building supply but not as big as Home Depot (and with much less upsetting lighting) told me to use Vinyl Spackling (DAP brand). My only worry is that it won't sand. Salesmens (sic) there want to answer me quickly so that I will buy and are not that knowing or are not applying their knowing. I can't tell which.

Any info would be appreciated. I suppose I might make a top level post of this... Hmmm. I typed this so I will leave it here if reddit lets me, 5 months later.
