Donovan's in UTC is awesome service and food. Share a seafood tower which is not on the menu.

Argyle Steakhouse up in Carlsbad is AMAZING food..but $$$$. You'll spend the full $200 there but not be disappointed..it's a bit off the beaten path.

I'll also put a nod into Island Prime..had a great meal there a couple months ago.

My wife has a pan that she inherited from her parents..it's from the set of pots and pans they received for a wedding gift so it is like 35+ years old. It has only popped popcorn all these years so if you want to see what a well seasoned pot looks like, this thing is it..makes the best popcorn!

Reminds me of this time we were in Athens as one of our spots on this cruise and we were adventuring around the city..when it came time to head back to the ship, we decided we'd just try to hail a cab. It took us three tries as the first two kept speeding by without stopping looking angry and even saying something back sounding angry. now I see why!

So at Fleur in Las Vegas (and also Burger Bar) they have something similar. For $5000 you get a similar burger and it comes with a 1995 Chateau Petrus. I think the wine is the majority of the cost in this case.

I asked out loud while eating there who actually orders this stuff and the waiter said just a week earlier they sold five to a single table. I'm thinking to myself 'nice tip you must have got'.

We have the book along with a couple others I purchased when we started this endeavor so that we could be better equipped to handle these things, but unfortunately it hasn't been made a priority to read it. I really want her to want to read it on her own and I haven't been pressing the issue with her to read it because I think that will just come across as me having an agenda and backfire on me. However, knowing there is some sections perhaps specific to our situation, maybe I will find it and suggest we read it through together.
