WTF are these Strange Sounds Being Heard Around the World? 2011-2012 by MySpermin conspiracy

[–]rlbigfish 1 point2 points ago

I'm sure the missiles are just for "counter-terrorism". If any government was going to try to fool their citizens with a false-flag, do you think they'd do it with aliens, which we have no empirical evidence of existing, or terrorists, whom we've already been conditioned to fear?

"Inspired by the 9/11 attacks..." Yes, the attacks that were brought on by people walking down the street and having conversations.

What's the funniest censored-for-tv line from a movie you've heard? by sumshin AskReddit

In what I believe was Die Hard 2, they changed John McClain's line from "I always knew you were an asshole." to "I always knew you were a rascal." The delivery is hilarious.

Why is it that when Rand Paul sends me an email he sounds like his father, but when I hear about his political track record, I cringe? by rlbigfishin ronpaul

Whoops, made a reply to your "missed over 90% of his votes" comment thinking you were taking a shot at his turnout in the primaries. Deleted.

The thing about Ron's legislative records is that he always has a great, (mostly) well-articulated explanation as to why he votes the way he does. You hear, "Ron Paul would have voted against the Civil Rights movement!" but then he rattles off on property rights and the negatives of forced integration and he actually makes it make sense, even if you don't agree with it.

However, I am not so self-assured when Rand says/does outlandish things.

Definitely Ron Paul. Rand Paul, sure, when compared to the other two. But really, anyone over Obama? I'd honestly have 4 more years of Obama than 4 years of Mitt, even if they're essentially the same candidate. I think a Romney Presidency would end up being pretty scary.

I would really just rather not have to feel like defending myself for supporting him.

I'm not actually following his voting record; that's not actually what I meant by his political track record. My bad. I meant that he's in the news all the time for saying some really stupid stuff. The Obama "gay" comments are just last week's.

I think you nailed it when you said he comes off as an icky neo-con when he's around social conservatives. That's what I'm talking about.

After years of my family telling me that mussels would be dirty and disgusting, I finally cooked some last weekend while everyone was gone, and they were awesome! by millerhighlifein Cooking

Ehh, with all of the other stuff (butter, herbs/spices, the mussels themselves), I don't believe you're going to get so much a stench, instead you're going to get a sweet, sweet aroma.

Ale, Belgian Ale, Stout, I've even heard of using Guinness. There's a place here in Philadelphia called The Belgian Cafe and all of their mussels have some kind of beer in them; mostly ales. But they've been some of the best damned mussels I've ever had.

Responsible Ron Paul by curtisimoin AdviceAnimals

So...he was just not supposed to campaign then? As a Paul supporter, I've always known that his chances were slim, but to just flat-out say he wasted people's money for even trying to run for President is a little disingenuous.

Despite the campaign basically admitting defeat, I'm willing to bet Ron Paul will be in the running for Time's Man of the Year in 2012. by rlbigfishin ronpaul

Hey, they almost made Osama Bin Laden man of the year and he certainly wasn't winning any elections.
