How were you able to get this cable working with the Ross-tech VCDS (or vcds-lite) software? I can get the software to see the com port, but "interface not found." Ive been able to establish a connection to the car with the program EasyOBDII, but thats it.

Edit: I'm referring to the HDE ELM 327 cable from the Amazon link above.

My own experience here, but the VW dealership didnt see my tune when I took it in for warranty work (broken cable to the MAF). I made sure to set the program for stock settings before handing it over.

Yeah, I was hoping the results would be more vibrant, but since I had no idea what I was doing I'm happy with it :-)

Also, I think the subtlety of the outcome is part of why the wife let me live, once she was done laughing.
