I wonder if there's any churches rushing there to "take Branson back from the abortionists, cohabitators, and homosexuals." Isn't that how it works? God sends floods and terrible storms to show his displeasure? As a Christian, my prayer is that we stop trying to scare people into Christianity and just let our light shine by our example. If we go down the road led by the likes of Rick Santorum and Pat Robinson, then we embrace a Christianity where literally only old, rich white men make it to heaven. Maybe its just me, but I kinda think Jesus was way cooler than these holier than thou charlatans make him out to be.

the problem is that its hip to be a damaged soul now. so many guys take the tiny little problems they have, put on eyeliner and cry about it. i had a girl breakup with me because i wasnt "emotional" enough. frankly i dont have time for the bullshit. loads of people claim to want the truth, but are unprepared to deal with it. you ex is being ridiculous. who doesnt go, pardon the vulgarity, fuck it out after they break up with someone? its probably not fair to the person who was broken up with, but its just the way the world works. you date, you break up, you date elsewhere...or have a casual fling. im single because i refuse to be that guy. im a bit brash, im a bit egotistical but im all honest and thats too much for some, well, most girls. women are emotional, but at least im ready for that.

Here's the thing though, not all theists believe that load of shit. Some of us, myself, think that religious affiliations have nothing to do with the ability to govern. Some of us acknowledge that we added "In God We Trust" to the money in the late 50s (not sure of exact year), acknowledge that most preachers are crooks, acknowledge that many use Christianity as a weapon rather than a a tool to reach out. God is love, he's not fucking stupidity. He's not sending people to hell for being gay, he's not sending hurricanes to "cleanse" the world, he's not determining the outcomes of presidential elections. He gave us free will and let's us chart our own course, atheists and evangelicals. Any person who says they just let God handle are fucking crazy and should be treated as such. The bible was written though the eyes of, and in the tone of men thousands of years ago. The earth isn't 2000 years old, it wasn't created in 6 literal days and fuck Rick Santorum. Thank you.

my friend kate is always talking about gender roles and how they affect our thinking and such. i will say that, generally, women care way more about details than men do. maybe that's why women are better students, more detailed oriented.

i had it explained to me like this once. men view a situation like a human smells, women view a situation like a dog smells. so i walk in and say "Wow, that steak smells great." my dog is thinking "Wow, that beef, garlic, salt, pepper, oregano, basil, and butter smell great." i admit my father's logic is a bit flawed, but in a broad sense, absolutely true.

As a Christian there's nothing wrong with you being an atheist. Jesus taught that we do our best to get you to consider Christianity, but that it's of your own volition as to whether or not you choose to believe. That said, I'd hope you'd reconsider Jesus. He loves you and died for your sons, but if you don't then that's okay too. God loves you, I love you, but mostly the Lord wants your happiness.

i definitely prefer hanging out with females, but living in the lions den is a stressful existence. one thing i can say though, the interpersonal relationships between women are far more entertaining than the ones between guys.
