My dad's recent story: He was driving home from work, around noon on a 65mph road. He was making a point of not speeding as he had recently seen a cop in his mirror. Suddenly, a maniac going about 90 came up behind him (on an empty road) and somehow managed to lose control and t-bone him right in the driver's side door. My dad's truck rolled and skidded down the highway until it ultimately came to a stop with the driver's side door down on the pavement. Somehow, he was relatively unscathed and managed to force the passenger side door open and crawl out the passenger door. He then proceeded to run over to the gentleman that had hit him, pry his door open, and eventually carried him to the ambulance. Needless to say, my dad is the ultimate badass...not for surviving a horrific accident without a scrape or bruise, but for saving the life of the man that nearly ended his own.
