Anyone on a Monthly 4G plan from T-Mobile? by tidderotherwayin Android

[–]tidderotherway[S] 0 points1 point ago

Decisions, decisions. I'm currently paying $145 for two smart phones on VZW. I'm running a Verizon Fascinate with a great 4.0.3 ICS rom.

Is there a decent sub $200 phone for T-Mobile that has active ICS builds? Otherwise I might just stuck it out with Verizon for a bit longer.

Simple Mobile sounds great except the roaming on other carriers looks spotty. Monthly 4G roams much more.

Should i get the galaxy nexus now or wait for a better option by quicklyteain Android

[–]tidderotherway 1 point2 points ago

I had an OG Droid running Liquid 3.2 GB. I wanted to try a good ICS build on Verizon so I purchased a mint Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate to play around with. I am going to wait until the spring to see if anything better is out. If not ill buy the nexus or rezound for a good sale price.

Early Ice Cream Sandwich Build for the HTC Rezound Leaked – Droid Life (unstable) by A2Aegisin Android

[–]tidderotherway 1 point2 points ago

Hmm. Not trying to sound negative but what does GB sense not have that ICS sense does? Seems to be the changes in ICS are hidden by sense.

I'm really digging the rezound. Can't wait to see a stock ICS rom on it.

Thought on OEM customizations vs the stock Nexus like experience by tidderotherwayin Android

[–]tidderotherway[S] 0 points1 point ago

That's why the oems can provide a nice incentive to register your device and download a base ROM. This could be like the Windows 7 Signature edition that has zero customization by laptop oems. Win win for Verizon as they get the bloatware by default and advanced users who get a clean rom.

That is unfortunate to hear. I can't stand screen protectors and was hoping to not use them.

I would definitely return it. Amazon usually has a good policy.

Best used android on VZW? by tidderotherwayin Android

I ended up buying a mint condition Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate. I'm hoping with some of the early ICS roms will run OK on it.

Thinking of getting a Galaxy Nexus this week, heard some rumors, can you tell me your experiences reddit? by LUCARiOin GalaxyNexus

[–]tidderotherway 1 point2 points ago

I'm on the fence on this phone based on the LTE connection issues I keep hearing in the forums compared to other phones. I'm hopeful they will resolve with a FW update. The other reason I'm waiting is because $299 is outragious. I had one ordered from LetsTalk.com but they could not give me a delivery date other than 3+ weeks. If I can find it for $199 ill buy it.

The bug was resolved in the OS. I am not surprised that you can reproduce it outside of the OS. I am completly fine with a software fix in the OS.

HTC Rezound or Galaxy S II for $0.01... or wait for Galaxy Nexus for $300 by vitriolixin Android

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

I'm in the same boat. Im currently on VZW without a contract. I can upgrade to the nexus for 300 or switch to sprint for the S2 for .01. Is it worth switching my unlimited VZW account to sprint to save $300?
